So I'm a bit interested in trying out Arena roleplaying. I was wondering, would anybody be interested in a Monster Hunter styled game where we have up to 4 players controlling hunters and one (or more) players controlling big monster(s) as well as a few smaller 'fodder' monsters. I was thinking a fantasy theme like Monster Hunter, but a sci-fi theme like Evolve would also work. It'd be a monster of the week sort of dealio, with different teams of hunters and a new monster every time.

Alternatively, would anyone be interested in a Diablo/Torchlight-esque dungeon-crawling focused RP where you're a party of adventurers going into dungeons to find loot and kill monsters and one player is the dungeon master who controls monsters, traps, etcetera in the dungeon? Or would this fit better somewhere else?

And now, a quick question from a first time Arena roleplayer: What do people think of minor game-y elements like flipping coins to decide the outcomes of actions? Or would something even that small be more suited to Tabletop?

Only the Monster Hunter RP may belong here. Arena is mostly for PvP.
As for coin flips, you decide - maybe somebody would like to join you, but indeed it is much more common in tabletop RP's.

----EDIT----

In fact, i've never seen any tabletop elements in an arena battle at all. But that is just my personal expirience.
