Hello, everyone! It's good to be back!

I used to be fairly active on RPG under a different alias when I was much younger. With a sudden will to get back into roleplaying and writing overall, I decided to start from a clean slate.

I've been roleplaying for more than half of my life (a decade, actually) and spent much of my free time doing play-by-post forum roleplays and real-time roleplays when I was younger. Overall, roleplaying has been a huge part of my life due to how restricted I was as a child when it came to using a computer (easy to roleplay behind your parents' backs, no?). Through roleplaying, I discovered my love for reading and writing which led me to pursue the latter as a means of making some pocket money. Unfortunately, my last writing gig was around the time when I lost my passion for writing and roleplaying altogether. I've had difficulties getting my inspiration back and decided to try and push myself to enjoy two things that I considered quite essential to my life.

When it came to roleplaying, I always believed in a 'quality over quantity' / golden medium philosophy when it came to post length and writing quality. My range always ranged from a few lines to an essay or two depending on the environment I found myself in. As of late, laziness has overtaken me and my post lengths have grown to be quite minuscule (which I suspect has negatively impacted my writing performance, something I want to amend). I've always been fond of fantasy and action roleplays, especially those that have passion put into the plot, lore, and characters. Admittedly, power fantasies can be pretty fun too. Now that I'm back, I'm hoping to un-rust myself as both a writer and a roleplayer (hope y'all can bear with me).

Outside of roleplaying, writing, and video games, I have a newfound (albeit deep) interest in martial arts as it has been a part of me for as long as I can remember. Through martial arts, I found out about my passion for stunt acting and fight choreography. I also have a deep interest in cosplaying and J-metal (most notably J-metal pertaining to visual kei subculture).

I hope to make plenty of new friends and be able to create a new golden age of roleplaying for myself! I really need to get back into the swing of things, in all honestly.

On a final note, I think I'll post a song from one of my favorite visual kei bands.

Ha. Boy, can I relate to that.

I started roleplaying here when I was fourteen years old, even though I signed up when I was thirteen. I did most of my roleplaying on my iPod for several years and it was easily the hobby that defined my upbringing. I both did GMing and regular playing. I was somewhat ambitious but not particularly successful. I guess I just didn't work hard enough. C'est la vie.

Anyhow, my dad was convinced that roleplaying was emotionally unhealthy and would lead to me attempting to act out my roleplays across the city. The older I get, the dumber that sounds in retrospect. He read my emails and implied that I had at some point agreed that I wouldn't do this sort of thing (which very definitely never happened, he had been recovering from years of drug abuse, general neuroticism and pretending to outgrow his own childhood trauma). So I would hide my hobby, getting guilt tripped and dropping in and out.

These days I'm just a regular flake, though. Long live the RolePlayerGuild. Pleased to have you back, @hide on mana. I'm more of a punk than a metalhead, but hey #WeAreTheCounterCulture. I admit, there is some cool musical stuff coming out of Japan. RPGs like Trails to Zero really make me wish I could read Japanese sometimes.

Welcome to Guild!

Also, I love your avatar, although I thought it was a young Robert Smith, but then realized it was not and was sad.

But still, neato.

Naaah, it's just some androgynous J-metal boy-o who can sing. Thank you though!

I don't think I ever had it THAT bad but I think we can still relate to each other, no? Thanks for the warm welcome! ^^

Yeah. I think so.

Robert Smith is one of my all time biggest creative influences and favorite creators of anything. He's my hero.
