Dear spirit user,
The information contained in this letter is of grave importance. Upon reading its contents you are instructed to burn the letter, leaving no trace of its existence. Your duty as spirit users is to protect and ensure the prosperity of our nation, that being said, this is an informal letter that will give you your next mission. As you may know, spirit users have two main objectives when venturing outside into the Battlefield. For most it's the task of scouting, hunting, and killing off nearby demons, making the designated area safe for non-spirit users. The spirit users essentially prime the designated location for expansion. On the other hand, you have spirit users who accompany skilled craftsmen and protect them from demons while they build infrastructure in the primed location. To the general public, this is the main reason spirit users exist in the military.
This letter has been sent to you because we'd like to abolish any preconceived notion that you may have had about this most recent mission. You have been hand-picked by The Colonel of your regiment to take on the mission of infiltrating Drogo'kai. The war between our two nations is still young, and we'd like to keep it that way. Nip it in the bud. Your mission is to make you away across the battlefield, or more locally known as the Badlands, all the way to Drogo'kai where you will infiltrate their territory. Your top priority is to put an end to the devilish dealings in Demon Users by killing the researcher(s) responsible. Markham Roil, Carlo Bower and Julia Covian. There is no guarantee that you will make it back, it is almost certain you will face off against these demon users before reaching the land of Drogo'Kai and it is also top secret. Sending in an entire army through the Battlefield is too high of a risk. That is why we are sending in your specialized squad.
You are instructed to meet at the northern gate when they open on the 12th and venture off into the battlefield. You may not tell anyone about your mission, not even your loved ones. We advise you cherish these times with them for they may very well be the last. Good luck and thank you for serving Honorfire proud.
Sincerely,
Rory Winkle,
General of the Army, HF.

A letter received two weeks ago. No follow up letters...only some strange yet sympathetic looks from your commanding officers.
