Hello all. Hope everyone's doing well, what with recent events.
Please allow me to introduce myself - I'm Bastian (duh) and I'm a 21-year old living in the States. I've got roughly 6-7 years of roleplay experience under my belt, on and off. I discovered my love of play-by-post style roleplay when I was a wee lad playing Roblox and stumbled upon the subforum there dedicated to it.
Reading has always been my passion, and English has always been my strongest subject. I love to hear a good story unfold, and I've always been the kind of guy that never finishes RPGs because I keep creating new characters and wildly fantasizing about their backgrounds. I was pretty much hooked from the moment I set foot into that humble Roblox community. I hung around there for the next half a decade, and made some pretty good friends and participated in some great collaborative storytelling. The rush when you work to create an organic, tender moment between two characters, or finish a long chapter of a story together, is still utterly without comparison.
The Roblox forums shut down totally around Christmas of 2017, right around the time I started college. School has kept me very busy and brought a lot of tumultuous change to my life since then, and I haven't been able to further this particular hobby of mine for several years. In fact, I wasn't ever really able to find a good replacement for the Roblox forums because I didn't know what this style of roleplay was even officially called. I randomly stumbled on a reference to an old thread I participated in once, which referred to itself as "play-by-post." This allowed me to do some digging, and the old itch to roleplay promptly woke itself again. And so, here I am.
Nice to meet you all!
