The concept is certainly interesting but I am unsure as to how it is going to play. I mean, fundamentally Naruto is about melee fighting but with magic. With modern technology what's to stop someone from just pulling out an AK and ending it? And that's just the first question to come to mind. Like, I'd be interested in talking this through if for no other reason than because it's interesting.

Hm... That does make sense. So basically what would be our job in this world than? Without wars to fight would we essentially end up as superheroes? I mean, I know that the obvious answer is that we'd be a military force but realistically i can't imagine a roleplay about barracks life being too exciting. :)

@PPQ Purple Since Kumo, Konoha, Suna, Iwa and Kiri are Sovereign States, I get what you mean.

Wars are still a thing because other countries like Rain and Sound Village are not aligned to the Sovereign Empire.

Yes, you answered it yourself. Military Police Force, but I already have a whole list of Shinobi Jobs that ain't military related.

For example, Blacklist Shinobi do what the canon do, staging could and killing off political rivals as they are hired to do so.

Outside the Sovereign and even inside, the whole world is still cruel.

We still get to do ninja missions that deals with uprising, fascists factions, anti-sovereign and the likes.

Being a Shinobi ain't that flowery because you are at high risk death.

Cool. Always nice to see this sort of thing taken to its logical conclusion. Anyway, next question. I read that you want us to apply science to the techniques. But like what does this extend to? Basically I understand how "throw fireball" is useful in combat and I understand how "use control over water molecules in somebodies body to make him boil and die horrifically" is also useful in combat. But I don't see how the former is overpowered and later isn't if you catch what I am trying to say in general.

The answer to that is simple, we live in a modern era where contemporary Ninjutsu is developed and allows you to do such things if you are skilled enough with your element.

It all boils down to treading and being reasonable on what you create.

It's not an issue, Tobirama did scientific methods like creating water without water source, Sasuke altered water molecules to freeze things like ice release but it's not as effective because Kekkei Genkai beats normal and mastered element.

Kakashi created purple lightning that bypass water and alcohol. This doesn't really impact fighting style but it's more of an originality and creative take on how you use your element.

And boiling someone's blood while possible is too advanced unless I allow it for plot reasons.

My point is that I basically have no idea what you will and won't allow before I try it. And I can't really figure it out by just reading your document.

Hell, to be extreme if I can control water molecules than frankly the obvious thing to do is fission.

@PPQ Purple Scientific Method Ninjutsu or simply put Scientific Application in Ninjutsu, is what I call this method. It takes studious methods of Chakra Control and Nature/Shape Transformation, in the canon, this is advanced.

In the RP Era, it isn't because it's a modern approach. Here's what I allow as examples.

Fire can allow you to increase its temperature to make emission of blue flames and any other colored fire.

Wind can allow you to make solid air shields

Lightning gives you a degree of affecting your own bioelectricity to sharpen your senses.

Earth can make clay duh...

Water is what I have said.

What I do not allow:
Fire that can burn you to instant ash because only Amaterasu can do that.

Water that can purify anything.

Earth that is hard af.

In a nutshell, make your scientific app reasonable and what that means is, you must not reach Kekkei Genkai territory.

An example of Kekkei Genkai territory:
Hozuki water body, no matter how much of a Master you are with Water Release, you just can't replicate their feat.

I see this requires a lot more understanding of the lore than I have. I basically only seen what of the show was on my local TV which is right up until about half of Shipuden (how ever that's spelled).
