A guy who finds out his mother was a long lost mermaid princess and he finds the answers to an age old family history related mystery. He also finds out he could be the key to ending a war.

That is a summary of the concept I have come up with, a different more detailed rp idea based on this plot.

The story?

The guy has lived his whole live thinking he was an ordinary person. He had a loving mother and a equally loving father. He had no idea that his mother had been keeping a big secret from him. He knew his fathers' side of the family well enough, at least what little family his father had at the time: his grandmother, who had since passed away, a great uncle who passed when he was little, and a cousin of his fathers' who had since moved to another country. His mother refused to speak of hers, and she claimed to have no family besides him and her husband, his father. He always thought this was odd but had since stopped questioning it.

He now lived alone in a small hut, or a cottage, near the beach, near where he used to live with his parents, before that awful night when his parents left him forever. He always loved the water, and he was always drawn to the beach for some reason. And so, he chose to live there, having a small little home built for himself there. He enjoyed seafood the most, mainly squid which seemed to be his favorite of all. He loved to scavenge on the beach, looking for seashells and such. It was quiet and peaceful, or so he thought, and he enjoyed himself, although he still missed his family.

Then, one night, as he was walking along the beach as he often did, he would have a strange encounter. He would meet someone who would end up changing his life forever. Not only that, but he would find out things he never knew before, including the truth about his mothers' side of the family. He would learn many secrets she was hiding, including where she came from and what she was. This would all make him scared confused, and even angry at first. But he would soon grow excited and perhaps more than that, at least he would soon enough. Until then, he would be taught about the new world he would enter, and his new life, and he would learn, and he would be helped to adjust to all that.

But what would happen beyond that? That was a story that had yet to be told. That would be up to me and whomever was interested in this idea. This world, and the story, are open to being built up further, expanded even. There are opportunities for further storytelling, character adding, and so on.

Please let me know if you are interested.
