Only hours after King Orthis’ murder, reports of a second murder come in. This time, the murderer left a single clue on the body of the victim- a young girl of only 12. This clue was a thin white string braided into the victim’s hair. But the string was a very small clue, perhaps even a calling card to mock investigators. There was no way to connect the string to anybody, as it had no prints or DNA on it, not even a magical signature, meaning that it hadn’t been created using magic- or from magical sheep-. Even the castle's best are struggling. There's one last chance to solve this mystery... A team of humanoids is being assembled who should be able to figure out who the killer is before it’s too late… but these solutions never come easily. A series of clues are left with each new death, and there are three main suspects.
Ava Emri Female 17 Demon-Wolf Snide remarks about detectives. Braided hair with white ties. The motive is unclear. Relatively apathetic temperament. Released after providing a solid alibi for the second murder.
Marcus Wilkot Male 35 Human A petty thief with a motive to kill the second victim(sister of his ex-bf). No clear weapons he would be willing to use on a child. Relatively gentle temperament. Released after giving a solid alibi for both murders.
Mathew Morchanivic Male 26 Neko The elder brother of the second victim. The motive is unclear. Relatively shy temperament. Still in custody as he was unable to provide an alibi, though he claims he didn’t kill his sister.
Even through the chaos, there remains some hope. The king’s son, now King Eliot, is well-protected and he has remained alive and is continuing his father’s legacy of being a merciful king. However, some people still disagree with the way Eliot leads. But Eliot is beside the point. A vital part of the investigation is the first interviews with each suspect, transcribed below. Some details have been redacted as only class A personnel have high enough clearance to read the full transcripts.
Det. {NAME REDACTED}: So, Ava, does the name Eliya Morchanivic sound familiar: Ava: Of course not, Detective {NAME REDACTED}. Because I didn’t kill the kid. Det.: Please keep your voice down. I’m only covering- Ava: Covering all the bases. I know. Can we just get this over with? Det.: -sighing- Ava: What? Tired of me already? Does that mean you’ll let me go and chase the right guy? Det.: Ava. Where were you on {DATE REDACTED}? Ava: WHERE DO YOU THINK!? I WAS AT {REDACTED} HIGH SCHOOL, YOU IDIOT! Det.: Is there anybody who can confirm that? Ava: {NAME REDACTED}, {NAME REDACTED}, {NAME REDACTED}, and {NAME REDACTED}. And just about everybody who goes to that school. This is stupid. Can I go now? Det.: No. Earlier you let on that the victim was a kid. Why? Ava: Mathew was talking about his sister. How she had been murdered. Oh, and how he was going to {REDACTED}. Det.: I see. Do you have any theories on who could have done it, if it wasn’t you? Ava: Where’s my lawyer? Det.: Ava please. Ava: … Det.: Ava. Answer my question and you can leave. Ava: … Det.: Please, Ava? Ava: Turn the recorders off. I want the killer caught just as much as you do, but I’m not saying anymore on record. -The next 15 minutes were spent with the recorders turned off, just like Ava had asked for. Details can only be assumed or given by Detective {REDACTED}- Ava: I hope you’re satisfied with what I told you. You must be since you’ve turned the recorders back on. Det.: Yes. Thank you for your cooperation, Ava. Ava: So can I leave now? Det.: After we check your alibi. Yes. -Ava’s alibi was good and she was released-

Alright. That was a lot. But it's the whole idea. You probably didn't read it all, or perhaps you did if you're still reading this. Just realized there's no mystery tag so... yep. That's the idea. Advice, as always, is welcome. :)
