Hey! My name is Jabarku, I've been on and off of this lovely site for the past ten years or so, before taking an extended break due to lack of time and inspiration. I love role-playing, but have been out of the game for about 3 years now. I've been having some major urges to get things down on paper, partly thanks to my love for superheroes that has had a major resurgence lately.
A few things about myself:
• I love writing, which means I put time and effort into it. However, I have a disappointing habit of writer's block, so if things seem slow, I apologize. On the flip side, at times I can pump out very long and detailed posts and respond quite frequently. This may seem a bit inconsistent. It is. And I apologize in advance if it is frustrating for you if you decide to role-play with me.
• I have responsibilities that trump my online activity. Though I will do my best to reply at least a couple of times a day, it might be only once a day at times. With some communication, I think we can work past this.
• I'm a straight man, and I prefer to play straight men, but can play multiple characters like side characters and supporting cast, villains, etc. of both genders. I'm also an adult and would prefer my partner to be 18 at the absolute least. This extends to non-NSFW stories. I'd also like to keep our characters at least 18, though an argument could be made for late teenagers if plot relevant and SFW.
• I like some smut sometimes, but I really do prefer a fairly story oriented role-play. Yes, we can do see scenes without fading to black (we all like to indulge now and then) and generally adult themes such as sex, violence, drugs, alcohol, abuse, and death can be driving forces if written well. Bring it on. That being said, there are some things I won't touch, such as some uncomfortable topics like rape (including CNC kinks), age play, bestiality, more, etc. If there's something in that list that you don't recognize, Google is your friend and Safesearch is your best friend.
• I generally try to have only one or two RPs going at a time, to limit the amount of disappointment to any potential partners if I'm slow or inactive. If I don't respond to your interest, please give me a friendly nudge and if I have the bandwidth, I will do my absolute best to include you.
• This post will always be open, so if you aren't sure if you'd like to RP with me, come back if you change your mind.
Now, having said all that, I'm particularly interested in a 1x1 Superheroes RP and I have a character already in mind.

Backstory (What gave your character powers? Where are they from? Trauma, goals, and whatever else is relevant.):
The setting and plot can be made up along the way between us, though I flourish in new universes with plenty of world building potential. In general, I like to work from the ground up, so if you'd like this to be an origin story for one or both of our characters, or maybe one or both characters are rookies or established heroes already? Do we know each other? Are we strangers? What city are we in? Country? What's the crime rate here? Who are the established heroes, villains, and organizations? What do the general populace think of heroes and vigilantes? All of these can be fleshed out or left to be expanded later.
