OKAY. OOOKAY.

I know I need to stop making posts with all my ideas. But I'm also a goblin desperate for interaction.

Alright. Alright. Just listen to me.
UNDERTALE.

It's just one of THOSE games. You know? Like if you haven't heard of it, then you REALLY don't know it. But it's one of those games.

Honestly, I'm kind of craving something with THAT vibe. Fun, but something a little darker, a little less understandable, looms underneath.
Honestly?

The 2016 Undertale fandom cringe is what I'm feeling right now. Needlessly dramatic. Existential.

I. I just want "boohoo sob sad sad cry, cry, cry, frowny frown sad, dog died depression" basically.

I'm not saying I want something Undertale EXCUSIVELY. Just, I spent my teen years LOOOVING Undertale too. I still do. So...

I'm probably gonna put all my other ideas here too...

So. Yeah.

So I've actually had this idea for a long time, but I've had no clue how to go about it. Really, it wasn't even a roleplay idea, but just more of a concept that popped into my head more than a year ago.

Imagine: a shadow creature (a silhouette, really) who lives completely undefined because it LIVES in shadow. So at that point, it has no autonomy.

Then, light enters the world. Something completely separate, creating a clear barrier between the undefined darkness, and what gives the silhouette a sense of self and shape. Imagine a shadow navigating a new, defined, three-dimensional world as a 2D shape while trying to figure out exactly why it exists. Think of almost like Peter Pan's shadow, but not really.

Once again, I still have no clue if this would be a cool idea or not, but I thought it was interesting.

So another underdeveloped idea, but, do you know those motifs in horror and existential media that's always like, "WE are the true monsters?"

Like, just always implying that the monster is never what you think it is? That there's always something far more dangerous, pressing, or disgusting out there compared to what you're facing? And sometimes it's YOU?

I like reverse horror media. Basically, from the perspective of the scary thing. I think something like that would be cool.

Actually, this might somehow go along with the above idea...

A more baked idea:

Some cases refuse to stay dead.

A gruesome murder shakes the city—a victim dissected with surgical precision, organs missing, and a message scrawled in blood: Tell me what I am.

And it’s not the first.

A decade ago, a killer known as “The Autopsist” terrorized the city, leaving behind bodies butchered like medical specimens, always with the same cryptic message.

That killer was caught. They were executed. Case closed.

Except now, it’s happening again.

The original investigative team is reassembled, joined by new minds, but the deeper they dig, the more disturbing the truth becomes. Did they execute the wrong person? Or has something far more terrifying been set into motion?

Ok this seems like it would be right up my alley! Feel free to send a DM. I am not near a computer right now or I would send one immediately

What if Dante's Inferno met DOOM? I think that would be a super cool idea. Touring hell as you rip and tear the life out of everything.

New idea:

A string of murders across a medieval, high-fantasy setting with impossible modifications. A corpse with an extra set of hands, eyes that do not belong to it; bodies are reshaped into something much, much more than human. Some say the killer is deranged.

Others say that he is building something.

The truth is much, much worse.

The murderer is following an ancient manuscript. One detailing how to assemble a god from human parts.

And they are almost done.

An unlikely group of adventurers bands together, in order to prevent this potential cataclysm.
