About 9 hours ago, it started snowing again. Within an hour, we had a full-fledged blizzard over the state of Minnesota.

Our second blizzard in April (first was on April Fool's Day).

An hour ago I got a message from my university telling me that school will be canceled tomorrow due to the weather. This is our seventh Snow Day of the 2013-2014 school year.

If you're not in the Midwest, enjoy your sunshine. I'll throw a snowball your way tomorrow, after I sleep in.

Funny... My family hates it up there. At the end of the month, they will be back home out of the snow.

Negative sides of Scotland #1: Always chilly, grey, rainy and windy, but rarely snowy enough so (in the cities) that we almos never get days off. Ugh.

This is, honestly, unusual weather for Minnesota. Though, our spring last year was also mired by snowstorms, we did have a snow day on April 12, 2013.

It just wasn't like this in the 90's or 00's.

We're still covered in snow here. We haven't had a single snow day this year. :(

They don't cancel until it's below -48C without windchill

What's a snow day? As Nargle and Nexerus pointed out, Western Canada doesn't tolerate that shit until it makes Mars look like Florida.

I wouldn't be surprised if we still had snow on the ground come May.

Being an Englishman living in Scotland (I consider myself British, as I was born in England but have lived in Scotland for longer, but my accent means others kinda forcibly identify me as "English"), I've never worn a kilt. Thinking about surprising everyone by wearing one to prom, though. Plus, protip: only certain people suit kilts, and unfortunately at least half of those that wear them really don't.
