Welcome to Dymentia
''A long time ago, in an era we call 'The Time Of Twilight', the land of Dymentia was a barren wasteland. The People who lived there, had no means of survival. The goddess Aura and the god Macus felt sorry for the weak ones. So they shared the power of Irn with the People of Dymentia. The power of Irn allowed the People to transform the lands to their will and grow beyond their normal capabilities. It allowed them to change nature and climate and travel the lands in other ways.
Thus Dymentia became a fertile and beautiful land. But it was short lived... The People began to settle their conflicts with the power of Irn, using the nature against their foes. Icy mountains, huge deserts, overgrowing swamps and charred lands covered the first so lush and green plains of Dymentia. Aura and Macus looked down upon their People, and saw what they did with the powers they were given. They felt no anger, only shame. The full power of Irn was too much to handle for one race. So they split the power of Irn into many. The People were confused and scared for their now diminished power. They retreated to lands that suited them best and stayed there to grow and live on.
Many years passed, giving the weakened People the time to master their separated Irn. And with their self-confidence coming back, so too came back the fire in the heart of the People. The fires of war. This time, the wars were mainly focused on a tribe with an opposite power of Irn, because when the Goddess and God split the Irn into many, they, unintentionally, attached the Irn to the personalities. Fire would be fierce, water would be calm... But would also hate each other. Again the Goddess Aura and God Macus looked down to their land of Dymentia and found the People waging war once more. They still did not blame the People, for their reasons of anger was their fault. So they build magical walls and temples across the lands that separated the tribes of each other. Thus creating the borders of the present provinces. The God and Goddess were pleased with their work and turned back to sleep once more.
Decades passed without People ever passing one of the walls. They gave up after so many attempts. Instead they focused on research and science. But not just normal science. No... The People began to uncover the secrets of the Irn. They tried for many years, and some of the People succeeded into creating their own strings of Irn. But these People were quickly cast out of their tribes or cities, for it were abominations to the Pure Irn. Yet, these new powers of Irn managed to bring down the magical barriers of the walls and temples, making them nothing but a bunch of stones. People quickly began to notice and started tearing down the walls. But the Desert People didn't want to anymore. They were done with the fighting and so they kept their wall up with their power of Irn. Even after thousands of years, the wall still stands to this day.
But other tribes didn't share their ideas and continued to fight one another. The wars started small, so the God and Goddess didn't notice at first, but as the years passed, the wars started growing, and eventually caught the attention of the Holy Twins. They sighed and a hurricane swept across the land. They cried and a flood washed away the armies of the People. They pondered and thought of a final solution for days and days, while the remaining armies waited, for they knew something was about to happen. Aura and Macus finally understood that the People were unguided projectiles who, without guidance would always fall towards war. So they came up with an idea to guide these projectiles instead. They created two new strings of Irn, directly tapped out of their own hearts. Macus created the Darkness, while Aura created the Light. They granted these strings to two newborn childeren. These two would balance the powers of Dymentia for once and for all. It had to, because the Holy Twins did not have the powers to help the People anymore. When they tapped into their own hearts, they gave away a part of their life force. The Twins were dying.
The years passed and the two babies grew up into fine young man without knowledge of their powers. But on their 20th birthday, the God and Goddess appeared before them, and explained who they were and what their purpose was. Aura, who appeared before Eliah, the boy with the powers of Light, explained that the boy had to make peace between all the different cites and tribes. But Macus... When he tapped into his heart and wove the string of Darkness, he corrupted himself and so the baby Yigris too. When Macus finally appeared before him, he explained that there was an evil in this world. And that this evil was being spread by his sister Aura, through the boy known as Eliah. The Holy Twins gave the two boys a holy sign that all the People would recognize. With their last breaths, they trained the boys in their new power and signed a contract with Time, also known as Aetas. Once one of the boys would die, another would be born with the special String of the Holy Twins. And then they passed away... The Holy Twins gave their lives for the land of Dymentia. But their deaths were in vain, for the corruption had already spread.
While Eliah travelled the lands, from capital to capital, explaining the kings of all the Strings that the fighting had to be stopped, Yigris travelled from capital to capital to amass an army against Eliah. Though his actions did not go unnoticed by the young Eliah, and he started raising an army of his own, to stop the plans of Yigris. Eventually the two armies met on The Empty Plains. This was a war as never seen before, for the stakes were higher then just land or riches. This time, it was not just the Peoples instincts that led them. It was an idea, a leader. But in the end... a war stays a war, no matter the idea behind it. For weeks they battled, with no end in sight. And after two months of continuous battle, only two people remained on the battlefield. Yigris and Eliah. The two boys continued to battle, for even without their armies, they still had their ideas of a perfect world. A world without the other. Days became weeks, weeks became months and months became years. The two continued to battle fiercely, while the world around them watched.
70 years they battled and then... they finally rested their blades and powers. For they were tired and wanted to rest. They agreed to both retreat to a place to their liking and await their deaths, for they had failed the plan of the Holy Twins. And thus retreated Eliah back to the Eastern Province which he named Aurelia after the Goddess Aura who granted him his power. With the help of other Powers, he created a white city. A safe haven for all, which he named Utopis. This would be the Seat of Light and his gift to the world. Here, he also managed to create a jewel which would contain a sample of the very first string of Aura. Yigris, on the other hand, retreated to the Western borders and entered the Charred Lands. Corruption had spread in the years, and this was the place he felt comfortable with. With the help of his remaining allies, he surrounded himself with mountains and an enchanted wall. He created his own cities and citadels in these lands. His capital would bear the name 'Yigran' the Seat of Darkness, named after his father. Here, he created a glove with a sample of the very first string of Macus.
And thus this cycle came to an end and the two died without knowing that the cycle would restart. Although they thought they had failed in bringing peace to the lands, the other kings had been struck by the devotion of the two. So much even, that they refused to wage war again. Of course, this was a promise their descendants could not keep. Luckily, they had a Light and Darkness to watch over them.''

The 100th Cycle is approaching, and many people are scared. Will it mean the end of Time? Or... do the Aspects have something else in store for them? The fate of Dymentia will be in the hands of Light and Darkness, and their allies and companions.
