Sample 1: He sighed, again walking after her. "Kaylee..." He paused and shook his head. "Look, if you want me to leave you alone..." his eyes sparkled in the moonlight. "... Then I will..." he whispered the last part, for some reason he was unwilling to admit, even to himself, that he was hoping she didn't want him to leave her alone. Suddenly, before he even realized what he was doing he had put his hand on her shoulder to stop her from walking. "Please, Kaylee... At least stop for a moment" Azarius paused once more, in wonder at his voice to which was now rather husky and accented then ever before. He realized why as he ran the tip of his tongue against his fangs which were indenting his lower lip, yet again. He turned sharply. letting go of Kaylee so she wouldn't see. He bows his head with his back to her. Her blood seemed so much more potent now. Her emotions were making her blood levels elevate a bit and he had to get away. Now. The vampire took a few long strides to get far enough away so that she would no longer see him nor the internal struggle he was going through.
"Damn it, Kaylee," he muttered. "Why must you make me lo-" Azarius stopped, then cursed himself, all to aware of what he had been about to say. The word was still on the tip of his tongue, but is that what this really was? It couldn't be... It just couldn't. He cursed himself once more and sank his musclar form back against the tree he was near. "Why do you make me feel like this..." he asked quietly, shaking his head. The stricken vampire then moaned to himself, his head in his hands, sliding down the tree until his elbows and knees met. He now realized that he was struggling not to cry. And now, he knew why. Kaylee reminded him of a woman he knew a long long time ago. It had to be have been at least 275 years ago... The only woman who he had ever loved.
Azarius stood up now, rubbing his eyes. He was very tired now. Weak. Unsure of what all he wanted to do. Because he'd not drunk any blood in the past week, he was very weak. He was now hanging onto the tree in order to keep his balance, his head on his shoulder, his hair over his face. He made no move to brush it away as his breath came out in a soft moan again. "Oh, Kaylee..." His form shifted, now leaning heavily against the tree that was supporting him. He closed his eyes, then straightened up as he heard the movements that signaled she was getting closer to him now. He couldn't have her seem him like this... No. It just wouldn't do.
