Hello Gallery section! I'm here on behalf of the Guild's Writer of the Month contest to seek out some graphics to use for both the contest threads and the WOTM account. If you're unfamiliar with the WOTM contest, I recommend you start here if you'd like an introduction.
That said, we're in need of graphics to use in our Guidelines threads and Voting Threads, and we'd also like an avatar/signature set to cover up the unicorn and make this account look a bit more professional, and we figured the Gallery would be a good place to look for such talent. For those of you who remember the "Banner Submission" WOTM thread from oldGuild, this thread will run very similarly to that. In other words, it'll remain open* for artists to continuously donate work (and yes, any artists who contribute will receive credit when their banners are used), and we WOTM managers (Kaga, Jorick and Brovo) will approve or reject designs (but probably approve most of them), as well as answer any questions you may have.
*We'll probably only accept one avatar/signature set, though.
In general, your banners can look like just about anything, so long as they are (obviously) Guild appropriate, they look clean, are legible, and they fit all the technical requirements listed below:
Requirements for WOTM Guidelines Banners:
Banner must contain the words "Writer of the Month". No other words may be used. At all. Width must be between 500 and 550 pixels. Height must be between 175 to 225 pixels.
Requirements for WOTM Voting Thread Banners:
Submissions for Voting Thread banners must include two images: one both the Flash Fiction and Short Story categories. Banners must contain the words "Writer of the Month" followed by "Flash Fiction" or "Short Story", respectively. No other words may be used. At all. The width must be between 400 and 500 pixels. Height must be between 150 and 200 pixels.
Requirements for WOTM Avatar/Signature Set:
In order to be accepted by the site, avatars must be 128x128 pixels. We have no specific parameters in mind for the signature, but please keep it within a reasonable size range - preferably small and simple. Signature should contain the words "Writer of the Month" or, simply, "WOTM". You may include other words if they fit the rest of the image well, but please, don't be too wordy.
