Hey there buddies! Before everything went down, I was known as magicallyjane. Didn't socialize much before, just found out the site was back up (thanks to vast lurking on the backup site and google-ing crazy things). So basically, I wouldn't blame you if you didn't know me.

I'm thinking I might lurk around here a bit until the site gets more stabilized. I'd really rather not have to backup everything, considering the 8GB (4 of storage left on laptop only 1.7 GB left, which I'll fill up pretty quick - other 4GB are on an external hard drive). I write way too much, including all the research I have saved. Anyway, it's nice to be back here!

I'm definitely up for chatting, sharing interests, evil plotting, even if I might not start an RP just yet (again, backup problems).

Well hello and welcome back. We hopefully won't have any such server issues again, Mahz is doing the hosting himself and is building the site from the ground up.
Gotta say, I don't know how you manage on 8GB. I got a laptop with 1 TB three months ago and I've used 650 GB already. You could actually pick up a TB external drive for only like 40 bucks :)

Anyways, good to see more old members returning. If you've any questions don't be afraid to pm me

Hey there fellow return-ee!!! I'm sure it'll be great when all the kinks are worked out here on the site. Yeah, I need more memory...unfortunately programs I have take up a lot of space, especially all the ones I use for writing music (only final copies, I'm one of those crazy people who sit at the piano or with one of the 5 instruments I play with pencil, eraser, and manuscript paper in hand). The rest of the storage has to work around it...I'm planning to get a 1 TB external and then re-format this laptop, give it a tune up and some shiny new parts.

Anyway, I get on a rant to often. Basically what I meant to say is "Hello to you too, and you're right."

I recommend a seagate drive with 3.0 usb if you have it. I own over 100 TB of personal storage between drives and clouds and seagate's products have always been great for the money imho.

I wish I had musical talent, I can sing a little, and tried guitar once, but I'm just not inclined that way. Consider yourself lucky :)
If you didn't rant then you wouldn't be fun to talk, I've always found that when people don't talk much it is because they have nothing interesting to say.

-eyes pop out of head-
Okay, considering I have recycled many computers (still have one with Windows 95) and have 7 old stored hard drives I can hook up with old icky ribbon cables, three online cloud storage places, and another old laptop with 50GB of storage (got an internal crack on the screen...then replaced the screen only to find that while I couldn't see what was going on I inherited a cat-and-mouse virus, followed with a nasty Trojan. Tried to use cmp to get into files...no luck).

See? Ranting again. But even between all of that I have never met someone that had that much stored. Wow.

Hey, I sounded like a dull tin whistle (which is an insult to this musician) when I tried to start my music, but you should definitely try again. Lots of fun options. Piano, strings, winds, brass, drums...singing is great! The unfortunate thing about playing music is you notice the most annoying things that you always thought sounded great...movie soundtracks, favorite bands, random radio music...

I do talk an awful lot.

Well I mean, I game on pc so a TB is only about maybe 70 games, I own 300 on steam and have about another 200 on discs so like, yeah that storage is my game collection.
That and a few hundred movies and every episode of about forty different tv shows and what not. I mean I don't use the full 100TB but it's nice to have that much, even though a lot of it is shaky old internal HDDs. Must have built and destroyed a dozen set ups by now
It's only a matter of time before Petabytes become standard.

Tin whistle was the fist thing I played actually. I'd love to try but in between coursework for uni, training for basketball, gaming, writing and reading, and debating I have just about enough time to sleep
