I'm new here, so I'd really appreciate if someone would let me know if I'm doing this entirely wrong. I'll be using this thread to keep track of my role play ideas and find people to role play with and whatever.
I consider myself to be literate in the sense that my posts are generally grammatically correct, save for intentionally incomplete sentences if it adds to the effect.
My post size can range from a few sentences to upwards of ten paragraphs, depending on the type of role play you'd like to do and how much you give me to work with.
I am mostly looking for active role plays, but I can wait a few days if I absolutely have to. I prefer not to.
I really like romance role plays.
I don't role play many fandoms, sorry. [Fandoms I will do include a lot of musical theatre, Glee, zombies, maybe Hunger Games, and Pokemon]
I can role play on a board or PMs, I don't care.
I am open to ideas not suggested here.
Writing style: Third person, description over dialog, character over plot. Paragraph, never script. Dialog is bolded for readability, but I can refrain from doing this if you'd prefer. Overuse - and often misuse - of semicolons; sorry, I'll try not to do this too much.
Okay, so now the plots. I may refer to your character as 'you,' but this is only for flow. I completely understand and respect that your character is distinct from you.
Wither

Your character and Anya have been a couple for a long time now, but lately she's been losing weight and has taken on a sickly appearance without any apparent reason. In addition to her thin appearance, she's pale and weak, and doesn't seem to be able to keep herself from falling asleep if she's idle for more than a minute. And she never seems to mention it. You have no idea what's going on, until one day she invites you over for dinner, makes the whole meal, then eats done of it. It can only be assumed that she hasn't been eating any of her other meals, either. You try to step in and convince her not to starve herself, but she doesn't want your help. In fact, she seems to either get mad or shut down every time you try to bring it up, and certainly doesn't seem to be changing her habits.

Your character is a member of a rebel group seeking to overthrow the oppressive warlock who has been a tyrant over Seamont. In order to do this, you have been selected to gather intelligence by posing as a guard and learning the secrets of the family. You manage to get hired as a guard and go to commence your task, but instead find yourself in love with Charlotte, the warlock's daughter. The rebels are breathing down your neck to find out what you need to know, but you don't want to hurt Charlotte.

Your character is a revolutionary in Toroka, a North Korea-esque nation with an oppressive government and walls surrounding it on all sides. Recently, an outsider, Claire, has managed to scale the wall, but she wasn't leaving the country, she was entering it. To you and your fellow revolutionaries, she seemed a gift: She already had practice penetrating the wall, she wasn't already known to the Torokan government, and she was fluent in Northern-Common, the language thought to be spoken on the other side of the north wall. The revolutionary captain, Lakira, pulled her to the side and formulated a plan with the newcomer, in which she was to take you and cross the northern wall. The rest of the details of the plan were not disclosed to you; you were merely a sort of bodygaurd. As you and Claire head for the wall, the two of you are ambushed by government mercenaries. Because you are so severely outnumbered, you chose to run and attempt to scale the wall, which you successfully do, but not unscathed. Claire was severely injured in the attack and has lost almost all memories of who she is, what they were doing, and, perhaps most importantly, what they were supposed to do. It's too difficult to cross the wall, so you decide to just trek onward and hope that it comes back to her.
The Linguist and the Tank

Your character and Tanya are both FSB agents assigned to tracking down a fellow agent who has gone rogue and defected to America. The two of you are very different, but essential to each other. Tanya is a master of disguise with the ability to fluently speak four languages and flawlessly copy any accent. She is incredibly valuable in getting information and interacting with people in this foreign country, but she is average at best when it comes to combat. That's your area of expertise. While you can't effortlessly make yourself fit into a situation, you're a spectacular fighter and probably the teams only hope in actually catching the guy.
