I have small stories every Thursday that I like to share with everyone. This one is from a Book I wrote when I was twelve years old. It's the ending and I will share snippets and small bits of the story with everyone on Tuesday. If you like to comment and tell me if you liked it or not.
Gabriel had enough of Michael and lucifer fighting, enough was enough. No Gabriel was not meant to fight but he wanted the war to end. He dashed toward the battlefield leaving god a note behind sayings was sorry. As Gabriel came to the battlefield he saw lucifer had the upper hand and Michael was loosing. He dashed over just as lucifer lashed out harshly. Gabriel shoved Michael away and took the hit. The angel went through a massive rock and collapsed.
Michael eyes widened In agony and pain "no......GABRIEl" he wailed as he ran toward his fallen brother. Lucifer stood a dark look on his face but it seemed in pain now. Lucifer black eyes squinted slightly looking at his fallen brother and backed away, in horror, what had he done?
Michael didn't care he ran to his fallen brother seeing his chest was torn open. He dropped to his knees in agony and pain,
"Please...Gabriel say something please. I'm so sorry about not telling you that I couldn't loose you my dear brother. I am sorry I yelled and was mad. I couldn't stand the thought of losing you or anything . Please forgive me" he whispered in pain taking his limp brother into his arms and held him. Gabriel eyes opened weakly,
"Sing me a song.....any song will do" he promised gently looking at Michael with those soft small brother eyes of love and peace. Michael throat tightened knowing this would be the last moments with Gabriel. He thought and with much difficulty he started singing.
"Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high
And the dreams that you dreamed of once in a lullaby
Oh somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebird fly
And the dreams that you dreamed of dreams
Really do come true
Someday I'll wish upon a star
Wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where trouble melts like lemon drops
High above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me
Oh somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly
And the dreams that you dare to
Oh why, oh why can't I?" He sobbed gently singing that song. Gabriel looked so happy to hear his brother voice, his eyes looked at his sobbing brother and coughed up blood.
"I'll never forget you" Gabriel said in pain, Michael looked at his dear brother, this couldn't be how it ended, was god so cold hearted? He looked at Gabriel and kissed his forehead,
"No this isn't going to be the end not here" he said in pain as he got up holding Gabriel in his arms close to him. He then started walking toward the area where they spent there time as children. Even lucifer fallowed there. A large lake and golden and blue flowers around the whole area. Michael came in and sat down under the strong oak tree with Gabriel close in his arms.
"Once a day I came here Gabriel. Every day is came here, praying to not lose you or lucifer to this war. This is the lake of dreams and spirits. After you are gone I shall place you inside so you can be happy with everyone else" he said sadly tears falling like a river. Gabriel eyes looked at lucifer and Michael ,
"Watch out for each other. This war is done, I had to stop it and I have now be at peace all of you. If not for yourselves but me" promises gently and then with that his eyes closed gently as his breathing and glow around him faded. Michael held him close crying . After about ten minutes Michael went into the lake and slowly placed Gabriel down into the lake watching his brother body dissolve into the lakes water. The war had ended and for two day both brothers stood vigilant at the lake standing guard and paying their last respects to their fallen brother.
But they where not the only ones there. All around the lake young angels that where close to Gabriel came and went. Mary mother of god was there, she sat near the lake for a very long time her eyes closed and crying softly . Even temptation was there looking at the lake and payed his last respects to the fallen archangel.
The war was over, but it costs heaven a wonderful and loving angel. War never leads to anything good but killing of innocent people. And now heaven had learned this as well, on the water edge grew a stunning flower of all colors, the soul of Gabriel was now at peace.
(So yeah this is part of a book I am writing about the end of the war between heaven and he'll and the ending is that of Gabriel is dead and angels mourn but the war has ended. Give me feed back if you like. This is a personal story to me because I once lost a family me ever very close to me when I was nine years old.)
