It's tied to my anxiety. Is there anything I can do to control it without getting medicated? It's kept me from getting decent sleep the past two days (including this one) now.

Only things I can think of that could work:
1)Pot

2)Salvia

Meditation?

Get exercise?

No idea otherwise. My doctor prescribed me zopiclone, and it seems to work well for me.

I don't know about paranoia but to help you sleep try turning the lights down an hour before bed, drinking some chamomile tea and reading or writing a diary. It's best to do this while laid in bed, valerian root and st john's wort work too. If you think reducing your anxiety would help get bran flakes reinforced with iron, folic acid and vitamins. All these, but especially vitamin B8 are helpful, I typically eat this for breakfast with wholegrain toast and celery which is high in sodium and folic acid. The size of the meal also reduces anxiety, and you can eat bran flakes with yoghurt for a dessert as well. I also highly reccomend starting a daily supplement of inositol, or inositol and choline, I avoid choline myself because I worry about the fish smell.

you might need to hash it out. I'm always willing to listen.

On the other hand, just avoiding stuff that gets your heartrate up or 'triggers' (cringe) the anxiety. It might be a good idea to jump into something new that might grab your attention and take it off the anxiety/issue.

If it's alright for me to ask - why are you against medication? (Mostly just curious.)

I think that if your anxiety is interrupting your life this much you could probably at least try anxiety medication and see if it works for you (and is worth the potential side effects). In fact, given the nature of it all, it probably wouldn't be a medication you need to take every day - and you can just take it when you feel you need it.

...Maybe. I'm not a doctor. Just throwing some thoughts out there.
