I based this story off of Tim Burton's rendition of
Alice in Wonderland. I suggest you be familiar with the movie if you wish to indulge in this role play. The Lewis Carroll books are entirely optional to have been read.
Wonderland never existed. The creatures of Underland suffered under the Red Queen, were liberated by the death of the Jabberwocky and the re-crowning of the White Queen. Those were the people and animal’s that Alice unwittingly saved. Now, after years of peacefulness, the creatures of Underland are threatened yet again. This time by nothingness. The Oraculum is reaching the end. Soon, it will cease to map out the future that the Underlandians have relied upon forever (and they do mean, forever so no-one can seem to reach the Beginning, where it all started).
On the last day before Nothing, a figure stands in front of the blank scroll, drawing upon its surface. Fueled by hope, many animals and people have tried to fill the empty space, but any writing, scribbles, drawings—disappear. Disheartened, darkness falls over Underland. Days slip away, until only one-hundred twenty-seven remain. Summoned by the aging white queen, the descendants of the previous heroes of Underland are called upon to step forward as their ancestors did those years ago.
But Underland is no longer a very welcoming place. Swamps are toxic and boil, giving off noxious fumes. Meadows are full of thorns and snappy plants. Animals bite or run off, not polite enough to talk. Insects buzz angrily and sting. Nothingness plagues everything. Making them twisted and mutilated because of suspicion and darkness. The Underlandians suppress happiness and glee. Mysterious deaths haunt households. Some have given up, they do not believe this can be fixed. They do not believe in Alice’s grandnephew, because he does not have her same muchness.
How will our heroes ever succeed in finding the secret art of recording on the Oraculum?
The following is a rough outline of the last events that are recorded on the Oraculum. It acts as sort of a guide for us as we play things out. Subject to change, of course.127
THE BEEFXOIRTE DAY
This day is depicted as when the six of our seven heroes gather together in the White Queen’s castle. It seems as if they are discussing a very important matter.
124
THE ENNEDV DAY
An argument has broke out between our seven heroes. Wait, seven!? When did Alice’s grandnephew get to Underland?
112
THE TREDUST DAY
A battle has broken out between some ghastly looking Underlandians and our heroes! Why would they be fighting each other?
99
THE DISENDASTER DAY
Where have our heroes taken themselves? They seem to be lost in a vicious part of Underland’s forests. I hope no ill humored creatures will be there…
86
THE NOPENDCE DAY
Our heroes are gathered together around a peaceful fire until they are roused by riddling travelers.
71
THE UNKCUL DAY
Our heroes find themselves at a tea party! But how can this be? They have no time to rest and fool about!
50
THE NONOTTING DAY
A gang of bandits jump down on to the heroes, but what they want is not your normal gold or treasures!
33
THE FOYUPP DAY
The heroes are disheartened and sad. It seems as if they’ve just received some horrible news! Whatever could it be? And who told them?
25
THE YIPPIERYA DAY
Alice’s nephew is yelling at the group. He seems very angry over something. Why is he getting mad at these poor creatures? It is not his land that is threatened by nothingness.
10
THE HOTIME DAY
Our heroes undergo two tragic losses and must rush to the castle with injuries from the day prior. There is no time to dillydally!

THE ENODDNE DAY
Alice’s grandnephew holds a pen in his hand and he is drawing on the scroll.
[i]This is a list of characters who will be involved. Obviously, each of us will play four characters of our choosing. I don't mind if we end up having "main" characters out of this list. Genders are flexible. I would prefer a balance...where it matters.
Alice’s grandnephew
Mad Hatter’s Son
March Hare’s Daughter
White Rabbit’s great-great-great granddaughter
Dormouse’s niece
White Queen’s Son
Caterpillar’s distant younger cousin
The Cheshire Kitten
Other things of note:
Although Alice in Wonderland has often been considered a children's story, I don't want this to be a lighthearted role play. I want our characters to experience horrors and disasters and fear. In a way, this is a fantasy-apocalypse story--if that is possible. I created a plot with constant movement, but what I really want it character development and character driven interaction.
I am looking for a more mature rp partner. That includes in both writing complexity and mentality.
I post about once or twice a week, depending on the nature of my work at that time. I expect a partner who will be patient enough to wait or able to keep up with this pace.
***This plot is not complete. There are gaps existing, but that's why I'm looking for a partner, right?
