The lucky ones seem to be those who put their family and other interpersonal relationships high on the priority list, rather than pour over their newsfeeds and twitter accounts. Many of the world's population may be hooked up wirelessly to an online world but there are those out there who are remembering to further science and humanity itself, rather than Googling their problems. A hidden underground society has prided itself on making a groundbreaking discovery in the field of evolutionary development. They've made clones, real clones that function and live among us and who are being carefully monitored.

/ / These whispers of created clones have fueled several mysterious operations. Most stem from religion while others remain purely political and financial. The many developers of the clones have come under fire, clones are being collected and killed off or tested. An invisible war is beginning to take shape between science and religion and even politics and ethics. These testing facilities for clone development are stationed all over the world, much like the temples of extreme religion meant to combat the unholy creation of the clones themselves. If clones don't come together to save themselves and reveal the truth and purpose behind their creation, all will be lost.

/ / Our characters will be clones. Now whether they're all one set of clones (one gender of look-a-likes with varying differences in hair, etc) or a mix of two sets of clones has yet to be decided. It just depends on feedback and who applies. I will be accepting applications which will be based on an archetype such as "The Geek" or "The Sporty" "The Double Spy" etc. These archetypes will be roughly outlined, given their general strengths and weaknesses which will make up a team of clones that work together, temporary disband, regroup etc. It is up to the individual play themselves to flesh out the given archetype they prefer and make it their own. The general guidelines I provide are just suggestions that will ensure we don't get a set of clones which are do the same thing, think the same thing, etc. We want varying walks of life, varying degrees of intellect and talent. You may create a second character that isn't a clone, who is working with a religion or just a supporting to another clone but that would need to be something you discuss with me personally.

If you can't find time to communicate in the OOC to make us aware of any delayed posts, I'll spam your PMs with questions and random facts about myself. The site is being worked on but In-Character posts still need to be coming in at a steady pace, I don't need everyone posting all at once but if the IC Thread itself can get a post or two a week from any single player, that's fine with me. Another requirement to be in this RP is literacy. I will ask for at least four paragraphs from you as a writer. Four isn't a lot. I don't word count (but I do know the difference between bullshit and effort) and I don't nitpick like a teacher would. During the application process, you will provide very brief sample of writing (emotional writing with your submitted character that I'll prompt) and from that, it's easy to see if you'll work well or struggle in my RP. And if you've got a grasp on the setting and mood. And if you don't, we can work things out.

I'm a seasoned GM and I know what pitfalls to watch out for (biggest being inactivity which leads to lack of motivation and interest AS WELL AS illiteracy which can hamper creative souls and development from taking place). I've expressed some conditions regarding what sort of clones we play, input there is necessary. I will likely take a celebrity who I know has different "looks" that each player can make their own. Your character witnesses a death of someone (be it in person, on the news, whatever) who looks exactly like them. This person has a birthday rather close to yours as well. It's an odd occurrence but you think nothing of it and move on with your day. The stranger just had your face, who cares? Didn't they always say that somewhere you have a twin walking around and you don't even know it? So you shrug it off but less than a week later, you get an email from someone claiming to have information about you; claiming that your history and birth aren't as normal as you think. This person makes claims about clones and government conspiracies. Either you delete the creepy spam or follow up on it. Your reaction will seal your fate. Ignore it and you will be ill prepared for the impending trouble about to find you. Don't ignore it and you'll be on a fast track to your mind being blown.
Your character's choice will determine where you character starts. If your character takes the bait, they will be starting in Europe, probably Germany or Finland or Great Britain, I'm not exactly sure yet. Should your character ignore the manic warning, they will probably stay where they are and have to be either taken to the meeting point or will flee there once they realize they are in danger. Ideally I'd everyone to come to the meeting point freely but to be realistic, not many would put everything aside and talk to some crazy person. But again, the amount of trust, curiosity, wisdom and insight will depend on your character's life and personality. The choice however will determine how many of us are together and how many will take a bit longer to join us. After that, it will be up to the group to find out more about one another, where they really came from and why, and who is after them and of course why.
This is an intense development based roleplay, if your character is a loner, chances are they are the one who is already killed or kidnapped.
