Imagine a world where the internet is a completely interactive service, where you're capable of uploading your conscience into data and walking through the internet itself, which resembles our world greatly. Sites like Amazon are like real life shopping, input your credit card number or a gift card and you can take your item. Forums are like Roman forums, full of livelihood, arguments, and talking. How is this all possible? The Central Matrix, the machine that authorizes scanners, the machines that allow people to enter the Internet physically, regulates the amount of power everyone has over the world they're in, rarely permitting more than an ounce of power to most normal people. This is where you come in. The characters in this RP, randomly, during their everyday lives, receive a random email and a packet of files. They are instructed to take these files, load them into the scanner, and enter. Upon encountering the sender of the emails, they find out that he's looking for help stealing something precious that can only be gotten through the Internet. And, whether they like it or not, they are all now labelled as hackers by the system, able to manipulate the internet to their liking.
