Hey y'all. Been looking for an RP to get into, but I've been having difficulty finding one that is open and of great interest. So, I found that starting my own interest check might be better. Anyhow, here are some ideas I've been working on but don't want to flesh-out too much until enough interest is generated for one of them in particular:

Planet of the Apes

Title says it all. After seeing the two most recent movies, I have been wanting to go ape shit (heh) and make an RP out of it. I'm thinking an RP that begins where the most recent movie ended: Caesar has taken his rightful place as leader of the apes, and must wage war on humanity out of defense.

I'm looking at one of two possibilities: that we take the RP well after the events of the movie timeline, where Caesar's legacy has been fully realized and the Apes have spread out around North America. Various major lineages vie for power after the death of Caesar. Factions form, and humans are still a problem.

The other alternative is that it is immediately after the second movie, and Caesar is still alive but must unite the Apes once more. This would have a background story where some of Koba's loyal troops left in the aftermath, forming their own band. Additionally, groups of apes would have left Caesar to settle in other areas between the first and second movies, coming back into the story as potential allies... or enemies.

Either way, I'm looking for mainly an RP focused on the apes. However, I'm not against hearing others' opinions, and wouldn't mind incorporating human characters, too.

Star Lords

Picture a story that blends fantasy with science fiction, where technology, science and religion are one and the same, where magic and realism are synonyms, and gods live among men. This is set in a universe that I have created for a book series I am still trying to set up, and although I will not have the books' plots shared, I wouldn't mind having some people use this world as their playground for an RP.

There is a High King, worshiped and served by many. His seat of power is the Holy City, where no sin is committed. No one dies in the Holy City, and many different peoples have gathered there with the assurance that no harm may come to any of them. Even the worst enemies may cross paths unscathed while here. Many nations bend to the High King's will. But there are others who resist, who serve themselves or other gods.

Elior the Thief is one such god who defies the High King's order. He is known by his followers as The Weaver, as he tends to be seen as the blueprint holder of the universe. This dimension is his playground. It is said that the nature of the universe can be discovered simply by observing the actions and interactions between Elior and the High King, as one is chaos and the other order.

They are not the only gods to command authority in the known galaxies, however. And mortals have their own leaders as well.

In this story, you will be given many different choices. Would you like to be a Solar Knight, wielding the power of the stars against your foes? Do you rely on the Faith, or invoke the Gifts of the Weaver? Are you a human, a Solion, Wulf, or one of the Automatons? Who do you serve? The king, the country, the god(s) -- potentially all three -- or just yourself?

A Faerie Tale

We are not the only humanoid race to exist. Elves live among us, as well as the Faerie, who rule with their divine wisdom. In the chain of command and place, humans are below Elves, while Elves are underneath the Faerie. The differences in power and recognition of the races has been shaken in recent centuries, as humans have been given the right to vote in many countries, and the rights movements have been stirring up the old order of things. In this world, magic rules all. The Faerie are the most gifted, and they have kept their bloodline "pure" from humans -- and even the Elves. They are the only race to fully realize the secrets from within, for they are unable to age, unable to die from natural causes, and are very powerful.

The Elves are the middle class. They age slowly, living for centuries, and have a natural affinity to being the most perceptive. Many of them have a diverse range of skill sets for they live longer, but must adapt more often than the Faerie as they are not immortal. Many Elves serve in the military, but they are not an exception in many careers requiring degrees. In fact, almost all professions requiring education are dominated by Elves. It has only been recently that humans have begun making leeway with this, seeking more equality.

The Wheel of Time

For you Robert Jordan fans out there. I'm looking at making something before the books, however, as that will be easier to manage. I was thinking the Trolloc Wars, or perhaps a fresh narrative we would decide on. I'd like to see Darkfriends, Aes Sedai, Warders, peddlers, Ogier, Malkieri, you name it. I just want us to be in a certain area of the world Jordan has created, though, since it is quite large.

Right now I'm just looking for people to express interest in any of these ideas. I'm about to go to sleep, so I will edit this all later when I wake up. But if you're seeing this right now and anything piques your interest, then please stick around.

All interesting. I'd personally go for Wheel of Time though - always fancied writing an Aes Sedai, although not sure what Ajah I'd go for.

I've been wanting to do a Gaidin for quite some time, Wheel of Time would be a nice change from these other trend of RPs I see lately.
