ALWAYS OPEN

At this time, I'd like to ask all players to refrain from things like Superhuman Strength, Durability, and Regeneration for new characters. Players can now play heroes, villains, vigilantes, and mercenaries of varying moralities. But try not to make your characters too high-powered, the last one is ambiguous I know but try and think of the power levels for superhumans you see on animated shows not comics.

Players can now control four characters

<OOC>

<Interest Check>

<The Rogues Gallery - GM and Player created villains>

<Veteran Roster- PC affiliated NPC listing>

This is where your characters are considered for acceptance into the rp. Please do not post anything else in this thread. Each field has some advice that I would like for you all to consider when posting your character sheets (some more than others)

Everything looks mostly fine so far, the main thing is that his powers just need more concrete limitations, specifications, and maybe some energy costs. Also I'm wondering how one uses energy on energy, that needs to be explained. Stronger spells like reality warping or teleportation should have some significant costs. And I have to remind you that in this universe using lethal magic in cold-blood usually doesn't end well with the spellcaster, so keep that in mind.

Everything else looks good though.

And Poly and Yog being old hands at this thread they get the express lane in.

No worries man, I've had this character for quite a long time so there are some costs and limitations to his abilities, diverse and powerful as they are. I'm editing the CS again, so I'll try and include the limitations and stuff this time around. I'm also aware of the consequences of being an antihero, but that's why I love using them. It creates more interesting interactions between both villains and heroes, and more stuff to do as a whole (unless there's some sort *lethal heroes will be killed on sight* thing going on).

So it's all good then.

No in this rp, heroes can kill as long as it's in the line of duty or in self-defense or defense of others. It's regulated though like being in the police. The issue with regards to him killing is that as a magic-user the White Fellowship of Sorcerers made it illegal to kill a mortal with magic unless it's in the situations described above. So he should be fine unless he coldly executes someone with magic but then he'd be in trouble with the law too.

It's finally done! After brainstorming for it all day it's finally done! *fires party cannon*

Ok, so the stuff regarding killing is pretty much the same like most other Superhuman RPs I've been in. He hunts and kills humans, metas, and supernatural entities alike, though none of these are innocents if that's what you're concerned about. He enjoys it though and does it as painfully as possible, which is why many would have issues with him. Being the way he is now is traditional of Abaddon, so I hope now that there's no *crazy antiheroes will be shot on sight* thing.

Edit: Wait shit I forgot weaknesses

If he enjoys killing that's certainly an issue but not law-breaking. Hunting down criminals with the express purpose of killing them would be however. It's not just a question of innocence but due process. If he's in a fight and they die than he's most likely fine. If he chases down somebody and then just kills them that would be a problem. Plus if that happens too much we'd run out of Rogues :P

He shouldn't be going Punisher on people but he can justifiably kill someone in combat is what I'm trying to say. At this stage all the characters would be associated with the League but eventually people would be able to branch out.

if our characters can kill can we have the people be furious at us and on occasions form mobs calling us fascists and assault us as well have politicians use our actions as a way to persecute superhumans? it'll spice things up and would add more consequences to killing and make it more realistic and I think it would be really cool.

Well I would write those kinds of consequences so yeah that would happen. It would just need to happen organically and make sense in the narrative, not just for the sake of drama.

What I'm trying to get at is that the League is regulated by law, as such they follow a few procedures when it comes to killing like cops. They can't hunt someone down and kill them, they can't shoot a guy if he's no threat but if the chips are down and lives depend on it they can kill. That doesn't mean it absolves them of political or social consequences but they'd be within their legal bounds.

Okay well, if they're all going to be part of the League anyway can my character maybe do some of his hunting in secret? Seeing how he is a supernatural meta he should have no trouble doing his dirty work without being noticed. Besides...

He eats the evidence anyway :p.

Also, we need more female characters in this, since so far there's only one out of nine characters submitted...

well there are plenty of people who hate the police and when you add superpowers to the mix then I can see plenty of people being afraid and hating them. Some heroes would be hated more than others if they are very violent, also I could see xenophobia against superhumans happening, after all people fear things that seem dangerous.

Yeah everyone's part of the League now but down the line after the organization get's a decent amount of members and the world developed characters could go their own way. Be mercenaries, corporate shills, government agents, lone vigilantes, and even be full-on villains.

He can certainly keep everything on the down-low. But if somebody finds out, bad things will likely happen :P

Abaddon is accepted.

Killshade is accepted as well, his super-soldier program ties in with a few plots I have in mind. Don't be surprised if some MIB types get a little too interested in him.

But from now on if we're going to have melee weapons let's try something else besides a katana.

EDIT: I agree with the more girls sentiment. We also need more POCs. This is America we're talking about here :P

And Yog yeah that's basically what I had in mind.

Cool, I'd love to see some interesting plots like that.

Sorry about that, I couldn't think of anything else off the top of my head that fit his character. I mean a battle axe or something would be badass but I don't know if it fits what he's going for.

It's fine really just if too many people get katanas it becomes silly.

I think a tomahawk fits better actually, his whole aesthetic and military background. They actually started having soldiers carry tomahawks in place of knives. Or he could just have a bigass bowie knife or machete. You can edit if you wish but there's no obligation.

I find first person bios weird to read, it just feels more normal in third person.

I had fun writing that, and it came a lot more naturally too for some reason.
