So, having a bit of an RP drought at the moment. How's this?
Fallout: Rangers of the Republic
War. War never changes.
When atomic fire consumed the earth, those who survived did so in great, underground vaults. When they opened, their inhabitants set out across ruins of the old world to build new societies, establish new villages, form new tribes.
As decades passed, what had been the American southwest united beneath the flag of the New California Republic, dedicated to old-world values of democracy and the rule of law. As the Republic grew, so did its needs. Scouts spread east, seeking territory and wealth, in the dry and merciless expanse of the Mojave Desert. They returned with tales of a city untouched by the warheads that had scorched the rest of the world, and a great wall spanning the Colorado River.
The NCR mobilized its army and sent it east to occupy the Hoover Dam, and restore it to working condition. But across the Colorado, another society had arisen under a different flag. A vast army of slaves, forged in the conquest of 86 tribes: Caesar's Legion.
Four years have passed since the Republic held the Dam - just barely - against the Legion's onslaught. The Legion did not retreat. Across the river, they gathered strength. Campfires burned, training drums beat.
Keeping the Legion at bay, are the brave men and women of the NCR Rangers. Tasked with covert operations, delving deep into Legion territory, it is they who stall the tyrant that would see everything they have fought for, everything they have died for, crumble into dust.
From ambushing Legion patrols, to sabotaging supplies and destroying roads, the NCR Rangers are the vanguard of NCR’s defensive preparations at the Dam. As Caeser gathers strength, so does the NCR army, but not at the same pace, and should the Legion strike now, their numerical advantage may win the war outright.
High Command needs time, and they need more of it than they have.
Mission Intro: Ghosts in the Night
One mile north of Nelson,
23:00
The vertibird whines to a standstill, suspended in the air as its ancient engines work to keep it steady. Carefully, but not without the swaying of clumsy hands, it settles down. The door to the drop ship’s interior falls open, slamming into the freezing sand of a depressing Mojave night. Out steps Ranger Captain Horatio Gibson, clutching his silenced service rifle. He turns, shielding his eyes from the whirling sandstorm kicking up from the vertibird’s engines.
“Come on Rangers, you want to live forever? Fall in!” He barks, barely audible above the sound of the vertibird’s near-deafening hum. “If those cock gobblers think they can walk into any NCR town and take it over without anyone so much as batting an eye, then they got another thing comin’!”

RP Summary
You play as an NCR Ranger, led by your Captain, Horatio Gibson. He’ll be dishing out the orders, but war is chaotic and nothing ever goes to plan. Be prepared to improvise!
The RP starts with the Rangers being dropped outside of Nelson by the army’s only operational vertibird in the region. Their mission is simple: the town has fallen recently to a Legion attack, and the army cannot deal with them directly due to a lack of manpower. The Rangers have been sent in to raid the town, with the aim of teaching the Legion that so long as they’re in NCR territory, they are not safe.
Maximum death toll, maximum carnage. When the Legion’s reinforcements arrive, the team is to be extracted, before being relocated to the next crisis point.
