Ultimecia, the most powerful sorceress who ever lived, and the greatest threat to reality as we know it, was defeated. Her plot to compress time was foiled, and reality remained intact and stable due to the efforts of Squall Leonheart, the Sorceress Rinoa Heartilly, and their friends. Nearly eighty years have passed since that mindbogglingly horrific incident. Balamb Garden's elite SeeD mercenaries have flourished under the now-retired Squall Leonheart's leadership. The Nation of Esther has opened it's borders to the world, though they still withhold a large portion of their extremely advanced technology from the other nations. Galbadia's government remains corrupt and wretched, though without Ultimecia's influence, the country has ceased it's invasion of it's neighbors for now. The world seemed at peace, but it was not to last. With the death of an elderly Rinoa, a new Sorceress has received incredible power. At least, that is what should have happened. However, nobody knows where this new Sorceress is, which has caused concern among the leaders of the world. After all, we all know that a Sorceress-gone-rogue can threaten the fabric of reality itself. So, Balamb Garden's elite SeeD forces were selected to scour the globe in an attempt to find this new Sorceress. Little does the team know that they are heading into a great (and extremely dangerous) adventure.
So, basically, we'll be playing SeeD members who are tracking down leads to find the new Sorceress. Expect things to go bad, but I'd rather not spoil the plot I've got cooking.
