Hey, guys I have noticed that my roleplays keep dying just as things get good or before I even get to start them. I have also noticed that when I have an idea I put forth..It gets ignored very easily. Yes, Im not the best roleplayer here but I do try. When It comes to roleplays, I put effort into them and leave room for the people I roleplay with to add opinions. My ideas are usually a mix of action, adventure and comedy. There is room for romance in my roleplay ideas as well but I dont like to focus on only one thing. Usually when I post a plot I will add that I dont want players that show up one minute then leave just as fast never to return.

Every roleplay I have ever been a part of I have noticed that I am the one that hangs around that thread after it dies....I feel like a ghost looming over a dead roleplay which is really sad. I always do my best to make good posts that are the length requirements and I dont make mary sue characters. I am not the best speller so I find myself using a Dictionary. Because I want to get better and grow as a roleplayer I am always reading online trying to find better ways to use words. I try to make my plots simple yet intersting and I add pictures to show what I am trying to explain if I cannot find the right words. I post up simple rules when I am a GM and I try not to pester people into posting. I get players that act like they are going to post and they show enthusiasm over the roleplay but they dont post and I am left with a dead topic every time.

Lately, I had found someone to roleplay with and they were better at roleplay then I am. I was super pumped and found my characters faces. I let the girl know that I had to send my computer in to get fixed but I wanted to plan the roleplay during that time I have to wait. I am using my family computer right now and have been for a month. Also, since she is more creative with her borederd for her posts then I am, I asked if she wanted me to do the same. I had never tried that but I was willing to try it. Before she agreed to roleplay with me I had given her a sample of my roleplay....Now its been a week and she gets online then gets off without even messaging me back. I did not spam her inbox...today I sent her one last message letting her know that I had found the characters I would use and that I was guessing she was busy. She got online after I sent the messege and still nothing.
Yes this is a rant that might or might not get attention and I am aware of that. If its possible for ideas to be spilled out I will take them. I am just so angry and feel like I ruin my roleplays or I chase people away. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh WHATS WRONG WITH ME???? [Besides my grammer and spelling]

Coming from a first time GM, I can tell you that creating a roleplay isn't easy. It's something you have to be really confident about, along with very, very organized. As a GM you have people depending on you to post consistently and lead them into a good roleplay- hm. . . Maybe I should start this over.
*Take Two*

Towards the first thing you stated, about having effort and various genres:

This is a natural thing with people- From the most Advanced writer to someone in the Free section: Everyone appreciates visuals. Something that catches the eye first will get them to stay just a little longer. That little bit longer might be what you need for them to read what you have to say. Aesthetics always catch people’s attention. If you have nothing but, straight walls of text, it'll more than likely send people scurrying away. (Hey, maybe not all, but definitely a lot.) If you have walls of text, put some in hiders, to give the *illusion* that it isn't as much as it seems.

Now, just because I say walls of text scare people off doesn't mean you necessarily can't add information. When you can show that you have a plan of where things are going to head in your roleplay, more people become interested. It's the whole, "Not too much information, but not too little information" ordeal. That I believe is pretty self explanatory.

Confidence is key! When I got my roleplay started, Pirate Age I was so nervous that it wouldn't do any good and that it would be ignored and brushed to the side, but with some encouragement from some friends, I managed to relax and not worry so much. I think I'm just rambling sorry.

Hmm, something that might help in your lack of roleplays might be to make friends. This is a community for everyone to enjoy writing. Go hangout in the Member Lounge and find some people that you may have things in common with. You could then a) see if they want to roleplay (and with a friend, you can easily tell each other if something is going on or if you want changes to be made, whereas telling a stranger could be kind of awkward) or even b) organize and plan a roleplay out together with that friend whether it be a 1x1 or Group. If it's a group, that's two good ideas being put together and more likely to get interests.

About the person who isn't responding: I've had that happen to me before. I say just let it go and try to find someone else.

Don't worry, you'll eventually find that one RPer that you're so compatible with, you guys can't contain all the ideas, hah.

Annd, yeah I hope my random gibberish helped a little bit. x.x'

*Thumbs up*

Good luck out there.

Thank you. I will work on that. The person I was going to roleplay with is on Gaiaonline. She is on my friends list......so I see when she is on so depressing. I hope I find a great partner soon so we can go nuts with adventures. Also you did help me so thank you.
