Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. This is a thread to accompany Precipice of War, a highly successful Advanced nation roleplay that has been running for a glorious three years now on three different forums (Sporum, Minecraft Forums, Roleplayer Guild) and has accumulated a massive lore spanning 70 years, countless works of art from our very own and a brand of humour rarely found in other RP's. The purpose of this nice, empty thread is to be filled with the facthsheets and post catalogues of the various nations, factions and characters, so that the future generations of Precipricks may look back and see wut's wot in canon without trawling through the expansive IC/clusterfuck wiki. I'm asking you keep all the chatter to the OOC and dedicate this thread purely to fact sheets.

Great Britain Infosheet

Brief History
After the Great War, Britain entered a long period of stagnation and political turmoil that is now referred to as the Great Anarchy. It was essentially a long fight between people who wanted to maintain the current government and people who wanted to return power to the monarchy. While the two sides bickered, nothing truly got done in the nation, and it quickly fell behind it's neighbors, losing it's status as a great power, along with many colonies, and Ireland, as well. In the end, the pro-monarch's won, and the British throne assumed nearly full control of the nation. Since then, the country has started to recover, and climb it's way back of from the pit it threw itself into for so long.

Government:

- Hasmik Assanian: The President of the Republic of Armenia. A former Ottoman military draftee and defector, he became the principal leader of the Armenian Separatist Front after the Battle of Nor Yerzenka. He oversaw the successful revolution and thoroughly humiliated the Ottoman Turkish occupation forces, earning him a landslide victory in the interim elections of 1977 and then the first formal elections in 1980.
- Joseph Pollundrian: The American-born Vice President and Assanian's closest friend. He volunteered as a fighter with the ASF in the Nagorno-Karabakh and proved his leadership abilities in the management of the fight in South Armenia. He ran with Assanian in his campaigns as a symbol of solidarity.
- Aram Terzian: A young, bright, idealistic former engineer elected to the director of the National Recovery Administration and tasked with rebuilding the nation. He is one of Assanian's most trusted department heads and a fervent ultranationalist. He is often controversial with the parliamentary conservatives with his Keynesian economics practices.
- Jordan Ivakon: The Russian-Armenian Minister of War. During the 1977-1980 interim government, Ivakon was a part of the "troika" making decisions in the militarized government. A former ASF commander, he is regarded as harsh yet cunning in his policies and management of the Ministry of War, including giving consent for a secret false flag operation to set the final stages of the conflict in motion.

Military:

- Haroud Abbasian: A military officer from the Artaskh. Abbasian began his career as a conscript during the waning year of the ceasefire, and took part in the final three month blitzkrieg across Erzurum. After ending his service, he became bored with civilian life and joined again to become an officer in the newly-formed Armenian Foreign Legion.
- George Yaglian: A border guard who recently ended his tour on the Georgian-Armenian border and was reassigned to supplement existing security forces at Joint Base Sevan Lake. He is an aspiring musician with dreams of making it big playing Armenian-infused jazz with the stars in culturally-rich Sevan.
- Mikael Gregovyen: Once a decorated war hero, Gregovyen commands an elite special operations force for the Armenian central intelligence service: the NSS Special Actions Unit. He is currently deployed to Georgia, conducting black operations against bandits and dissident insurgents.

Civil:

- George Vartanesian: The captain of the MV Breadwinner of Rize, a commercial vessel part of the Armenian Merchant Marine, and a veteran seaman. Formerly tasked with trading across the Black Sea with Poland, he is now responsible for the first Armenian circumnavigation of the globe in an international show of force.

Post Catalog:

- Abbasian returns to Yerevan from the war to victory celebrations, and reunites with his family.
- Abbasian and his family discuss the Army and return to the victory parade. Yaglian returns from the war to Sevan.
- Assanian gives a victory speech. Gregovyen leads a raid on a Dagestani warlord's compound and discovers the existence of the Georgian Guard.
- Abbasian returns with his family to the Artsakh, moving back in with his parents. Yaglian settles into his new job at a security posting inside of Armenia and ponders his musical career.
- Terzian and Assanian discuss the infrastructure development and greenlight a public works project.
- Recruiters from the Armenian Foreign Legion convince Abbasian to reenlist.
- Abbasian arrives at OCS day one. Vartanesian guides his ship through the Bosporus. Work begins on Armenia's highways.
- Gregovyen briefs the Georgian theater commanders about the Georgian Guard: a potential political ally and reconstruction force. Vartanesian lands in Cyprus to begin the first port visit on his tour.

Background of country-
Italy, birthplace of the Roman Empire and center of the catholic church has juggled from being a great power to a weakened regional power often during its troubled history after independence. A major combatant of The Great War, the Kingdom suffered heavy casualities against the Austrian and German Empires in the Alps, but managed to gain the upper hand and defeat the Austrians outside of Innsbruck in 1919. After which, the war turned to a dull stalemate a few dozen kilometers south of the German town of Rosenheim, where the front would stay until the end of the war.

The casualties and strain inflicted on the people and industries of Italy put massive political and social consequences on the state, and several uprisings and revolutions were attempted, but the Kingdom slowly recovered to a respectable status come 1931. Though nowhere near as powerful as it was pre-war, as was the case with many nations.

Italy would continue with gradual economic development(mostly centered in getting the southern half on par with the north) and fostering healthy relations with many nations around the Mediterranean Sea. Though it failed in the attempt to purchuse Corsica from France in 1958, and again only ten years later.

In 1970, a sudden invasion by the Ottoman Empire struck southern Italy, catching the nation off guard. The Regio Esercito holds the line for as long as able, but begins to falter before Spanish intervention full defeats the Ottoman Empire. One of the Spaniards, Basista, overthrows the Monarchy and institutes a Dictatorship after and rules with an iron fist for several years after cutting ties with Spaion. A civil war that raged from 1976 to 1977 drove him out with Spanish support, and the monarchy was reintroduced. At the cost of a Constitutional Monarchy instead of an Absolute one. The Senate of the Kingdom managing the upper house, and the Chamber of Deputies for the lower house.

is mostly continental, with harsh winters and hot summers.
