ECHO SQUAD MISSION #0001
DAHAKA AMP STATION, TR CONTROLLED TERRITORY ON INDAR
11:52 A.M.

Engines. loud, obnoxious engines Aidan couldn't understand why Nanite Systems had to make them so loud. These things were meant to drop a squadron into battle, wouldn't they make them a bit quieter? The young man was sitting near the bay doors of a Galaxy, The bright lights shining down on him and the fresh recruits as they flew over the night sky- along with many other galaxies and some Valks. It had been a long, boring ride from the ships stationed above to the continent below, his mind constantly on how to greet his squad mates or on the drills they gave him so he knew how to use his equipment. A gruesome 5 months in training, but he managed to get through...

"Approaching LZ, make sure you have everything in your purses, Ladies!" A scratchy, loud voice came over the radio as the engines started to tilt into their VTOL positions, the map on the bottom left of his visor showing some of the other transport aircraft landing troops. His hands started to search through his pack. Weapons, check, Ammo, yep, grenades, affirmative. Armor Kit, Ja. Um...Oh, MANA, check... The private thought to himself as he checked his gear, yelling "CHECK!" out as soon as he confirmed he had everything. The aircraft started to descend on, hovering above one of the busy platforms that hung above the ground. The bay door let out a small hissing noise and started to open, their safety restraints unlocking and folding back up.

Aidan secured all of his weapons and equipment onto his armor before the grunts started to march on out of the Gal, their brains nervous but their hearts brave.

The Mosquito. An obnoxious name, but the actual vehicle was quite comfortable in a fight, and is aptly named for how annoying it can be to enemy fighters and transports. Ghost didn't ever get attached to a single fighter, or bother personalizing anything. He was flanking the Galaxy, just in sight of the young recruit sitting at the bay doors of the Galaxy's open bay, as if waiting for a rebel ambush to force the Galaxy into evasive maneuvers and toss him out the back.

As the Galaxy landed, Ghost circled around several times, giving the recruits time to get out. He wasn't one to dance, so to speak, but he wanted to ensure that he had an impression, one that didn't mark him to be messed with. As he came around on his fourth circle, he dipped lower to the ground, coming in low over the Galaxy, and landing a short distance away, taking only a few seconds to come over, decelerate and land. Less than fifteen seconds after he flew over the Galaxy, the Mosquito was powering down, and Ghost was already out, decked out in full armor, as he always was when in combat. His helmet stayed on, and would stay on until he stepped through the door of their barracks back at HQ.

Before him were newbies, greenies, and he took them in with a hard, unseen stare.

ECHO SQUAD MISSION #0001
DAHAKA AMP STATION, TR CONTROLLED TERRITORY ON INDAR

Sarah was meticulously if not anally making sure everything was in place. Every clip, Her sidearm, her Shield Generator and her tool, and every grenade, even the plates of her composite armour were checked for a secure fit. She carried quite a bit of equipment on her person and she did that because no amount of armour or shielding could protect you as well as a well placed bullet. The best way to protect frm enemy fire, is to make sure they couldn't fire in the first place. An odd centiment coming from a lifelong doctor perhaps but she long ago ran out of sympathy for any pleas or mercy for the Oligarch facists calling themselves freedoms fighters or the barbaric and surpisingly mindless jihhadists calling themselves intellectuals.

Her tools and grenades were checked and primed. and the Regeneration field was tested. Her movements were far smoother and more controlled than many of the other passangers inside the dropship. But she didn't bother to say anything now. Some of these people were greener than an Amerish meadow and while in years past advice on dodging bullets and instilling the fear of death may actually have been a concern. These days that fear was considerably lessened. Still an unpleasant sensation admittedly, but for good or ill one simply became accustomed to it.

As the warning came over the intercom Sarah strapped everything back down to her person and picked her helmet off the floor of the galaxy and quickly sealed it over her head. She felt the reverberating hum through her body as the galaxy hovered over a particular area, and snapped a magazine into her TAR and cocked the action. Jumping down from the ramp Sarah quickly took stock of the area around her. There was some sniper, he was trying hard to intimidate the newer folk but Sarah was unfazed by the attempt. When one had already died several times they realized that there was surprisingly little to find fearful in the world.

Echo Squad mission #0001
Dahaka Amp Station, TR controlled territory on Indar.

Andy was just waiting. He had already checked all his systems and looked at his weapons. They were in perfect condition or at least, that was what he thought. Either way, he saw no need to check again so he did the one thing he could.

He inspected the rookies. Not too many of them, they didn't need more than one galaxy, at least. He hoped to whatever god was out there that they were at least decently trained and could fire a gun, or in the medics case, know how to heal people when rebels or alien technophiles shot them to shit.

As they got the warning, he braced for landing. He eventually walked out and the Wasp was un phased by Ghost's glaring, opting instead to ask with a small smirk;
"So, when do we start shooting some rebel scum, or 'soldiers' in purple spandex?"

"If all goes the best as can be, you won't have to shoot anyone, 'cause I already got them. If it's a normal mission, I'll take down all the aircraft and add supportive fire, from the Mosquito and with my rifle, alternatively, or it'll be a bad mission, in which I'll get chased around until I jump out of the Mosquito, and you all will get shot up, and people will start 'birthin' again, and I'll come out with a few scratches and another tick for saving everyone else."

Ghost had that special way of being able to say anything with any tone without caring. So good at it that on a stealth mission, he literally walked through a group of Purples without them noticing he was Terran. Then he mowed them all down with their own SMGs. He leaned against the Mosquito, waiting for the order to move out and engage. He always had separate orders, where he'd speak directly with a command officer back at HQ, and they'd tell him when to move and attack. Sometimes, he'd attack prematurely, clearing the skies so the grunts could land. Sometimes, he'd attack after they'd landed, and brought out all the hornets. Then he'd buzz in, tearing down half of them before they realized that they weren't playing shoot-the-ant anymore.

But dreams of tearing down would have to wait. In the meantime, he waited for the newbies to get collected.
