The Nine is about nine teenagers who represent the nine types of intelligence and have been invited into a "university" for gifted people such as them. They arrive in the "university"'s location but find that it's not an university at all, but a large mansion in the middle of a remote island. What is their purpose there? And what does Prof. Howard, a man shrouded in mystery, want with them?

The Nine Types of Intelligence

Naturalist Intelligence (nature, living things, natural world, society) - political, argumentative, conditional (“what’s in it for me?”), absorbed in pop culture, compassionate, stands up for what they believe in, not easily swayed, loyal

Musical Intelligence - rhythmic, distracted, perfectionistic, sprightly and cheerful, stuck in routine, gets along well with nearly everyone, possibly a bit moody

Logical-Mathematical Intelligence - loner (happy to be left alone), fast-paced, addictive, reckless, narrow-minded, reliant on first impressions, impatient, balanced, efficient, punctual, caring

Existential Intelligence (human existence, deep questions) - absent-minded, brooding, accepting of others, a friend to all, lonely, cynical, intolerant of shallow people, easily annoyed, sees the “big picture” rather than paying attention to detail, forgetful

Interpersonal Intelligence (understanding and interacting with others) - social butterfly, shallow, judgmental, lots of friends, talkative, empathic, sympathetic, adaptable, relatable, curious

Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence (not only athletics & sport but also mind-body union) - careful, precise, thinks before they act, a planner, physically fit, vain, aloof

Linguistic Intelligence (thinking in words and expressing things verbally) - curious, nosy, talkative, uncomfortable with silence, restless, active, compulsive, can be overwhelming, enthusiastic

Intra-personal Intelligence (understanding of oneself and own feelings) - emotional, self-absorbed, self-reliant, critical of others, narrow-minded, independent, determined

Spatial Intelligence (mental imagery, imagination, spatial reasoning) - creative, artistic, appreciative, needs “room to breathe”, particular, snobby, imaginative, odd

Notes:

The Nine are from all over the world, and they've never met each other before the mansion. Maybe some have heard of one or two of the Nine, but they don't personally know each other. Am I making sense here?

The Nine have been taken to the mansion to be trained for a Heist (which is the awesome idea pitched in the Interest Check)

Rules:

- The basic roleplay rules and common courtesy. We want to have fun here, so don't be a d-bag.
- Drop a character below based on the nine types of intelligence (and their characteristics from the list above) and follow the cs.
- Romance is allowed, but mature content is a no go. If you want to continue it, please do so in pms.
- There will be a post order and it must be followed. As such, if you find that you can't post for some time, please inform us.
- We all have lives other than roleplaying, but it would really be awesome if you could post once a day at least.
- I don't expect you to be a super awesome writer, but please avoid text speak and the like... Unless your character is texting and uses text speak, then that would be totally understandable.
- And the most important rule of all is to enjoy playing!

Personality:
Melody is rhythmic. She has a photogenic memory so when she hears a piece of music on the radio or on TV or anywhere, she can repeat it almost to perfection. Even when she dances, she can follow the rhythm and keep up with the beat. She is easily distracted and finds herself zoning out or daydreaming often. She loses track of what she is doing and even by the smallest distractions. Melody is a perfectionist. She likes to keep doing things over and over until she is sure she perfected it, even if it would take all her time up. She is usually very cheerful and sprightly, she is usually always full of energy and hyper all the time and always smiling. She likes to help other people cheer up and doesn't like to see anyone sad.

Since Melody was young she had put herself on a routine. She would wake up, shower, get dressed, eat, brush her teeth, and so on. She had been on this routine ever since she was eight years old, and she had gotten so use to the routine she still sticks to it this day, minus going to school. People think its strange how she is stuck to a routine since she was eight, but she finds nothing abnormal about. Melody pretty much gets along with everyone. She likes to make new friends and meet new people. She likes to help her friends and she cares a lot for people who she is close to. Melody can be moody at times, but its very rare she gets angry, she tries to keep those emotions bottled up.
History:
Melody grew up in a middle class family. She never had to worry about money, but she never had that much of it either. She is what you could call a 'musical prodigy'. She started taking piano lessons when she was three years old and the piano instructor could tell she was a natural. Her fingers moved along the keys with grace and perfect poise. She was always close to her family and her older brother. She never had any problems in school and eventually she mastered every instrument you could give her and every music piece you gave her. Even though she plays instruments well, she can also sing, having a natural beautiful voice.

She aspires and dreams to become a professional musician, playing in orchestras and even doing Broadway shows as well. She doesn't see herself leaving school and doing anything other then her passion- music. After leaving the mansion, she wants to go to New York and attempt to jump start her career there. She wants to make a demo and send to a music company, a mixture of her singing and playing her violin. She always goes places with it, in case she ever gets the urge to play she can and showcase her abilities.
Others:
She doesn't go anywhere without her violin, she carries it in a black case everywhere she goes.
