Thank you for clicking on this interest check, I will do my best not to send you away screaming in abject horror.

I’m pretty new to RP, I was on the old site for a mere month before it shut down. The same friend who introduced me to it initially suggested I get back to it. I was apprehensive at first, but now admit I am pretty excited at the prospect of restarting. I do not proclaim myself a pro. I’m still very new to the platform and I do apologize for my lack of experience. However I assure potential partners out there, I take pride in my writing and take it seriously. To me this is a hobby, but I feel you only get the most out of your hobbies if you put dedication and effort in to them. I’m quite into sci-fi and fantasy and slice of life. If you want to know a little more about me as we go along writing, that’s fine, I’m open to the idea but I guess I'll just start with telling you I’m a 18+ male. So without further ado, I shall share my idea for a RP of questionable quality... Definitely open to input from you, that’s a huge part of the fun. I’m pretty specific with my plot ideas, so they usually only come one at a time, so if you have other ideas and would be interested in RPing with me definitely open to them!

Post length
I kind of like longer posts but then again the main point is character development. If you feel you can do that in two paragraphs I’m not going to hold that against you, but generally I go for about 4-7 paragraphs per post depending.

Graphic nature?
Sure I don’t mind it getting graphic, as long as it adds to the characters and plots though. If the RP call for it, let’s go right ahead.

Response rate
If I can help it I would like to respond with at the very least one post every two days, ideally once a day or more. However I understand life has a nasty habit of catching up on you. Keep in communication with me, let me know if you have circumstances that would prevent regular replies. I definitely won’t hold it against you. I will do the same on my side.

Plot idea 1 : A war between Kingdoms (Fantasy)
A great war between an Elvish and Human kingdom has occurred, despite Elvish mastery over magic and the natural forces, their kingdom was pummeled by sheer human inventiveness and attrition. The pragmatic elves sensed eventual defeat, and brokered a peace with the young upstart race. The elves agreed to relegate their state to a protectorate and sharing limited amounts of their arcane technology and practices with the humans. However, in a truly draconian gesture, to ensure his former elvish enemies do not rebel against him, the human king in the peace settlement has stipulated that the Elvish crown prince (MC if possible) is to be kept under constant watch in his capital. He may return to his land should his father die to succeed the throne. The one to keep an eye on him is the youngest son/daughter of the human king (YC if possible). Initial distrust and hatred spell an initial rocky relationship, but coming to understand one another and their cultures, the two grow in mutual respect and perhaps even in a romantic capacity. There are factions within the human kingdom who wish to see the elves completely wiped out, their secrets taken from them by force. Our two characters must do whatever they can to stop them from influencing the king from taking harsh measure, which might provoke the elves to use ancient magic that would spell the doom of both races.

Plot Idea 2: A fantastical Adventure set in an alternate history.

The second Idea is more surrounded around a character I was thinking of. It's set in an alternative history, in india under british rule in the 1920s and it's more of a jungle adventure. MC is an explorer and naturalist. However I'm pretty open to who/what YC is. In my head he/she is a member of an ancient civilisation just awoken from stasis but we can tweak it definitely! It really needs a lot of fleshing out though and I'd love some help in that:

Setting: Alternate India under British rule
1919

(MC)
Samuel Bletchley
Age: 24
Occupation: Naturalist and adventurer

Samuel Bletchley was born in 1895, the son of Lord Bletchley, a prominent member of parliament who rose to fame due to his outstanding military service. He grew up on the family estate in the country. Fascinated by nature since youth, he immersed himself in the study of zoology growing up. He also is a renowned anthropologist, seeking to understand foreign cultures. When the Great War struck in 1914, he enlisted in the British expeditionary force as an officer in a combat engineer unit. He has seen the horror of the trenches and the degradation of war. Having survived the conflict, he decided he had enough of society. He took the opportunity of his father becoming the governor of a small Indian state, to move to the “Jewel of the empire”.

Having little interest in Colonial society, Samuel planed an expedition into the deep jungles of (_____), hoping to rediscover the remains of a long lost ancient civilization the (_____). He charted a course and planned to travel there by the new technology of air balloon, but a freak monsoon has now left him stranded in the jungle, separated from his Indian guide. He has been trekking for days, feeding off nature. It is by pure chance he stumbles across the lost temple of (_____) and it’s strange inhabitant(YC).

Plot three: The Arenas( Sci- Fi)

Earth has become uninhabitable; millennia of sapping its resources have left it all but a desolate wasteland. Humanity has moved to space stations tethered to the ground by great space elevators. Resources are scares and any wastage is punishable by death. However should you be a minor, that sentence is reduced to life imprisonment. There are two main ways for young people to get out of this predicament. The first is to go on a “pilgrimage” to the ground to retrieved useful resources or long lost technology. This option usually leads to death though. The second, is to take part in the only form of entertainment that has survived the great cultural purge: The Arenas. In this macabre war-game, the youth’s are strapped to virtual reality emulators that transport them to various ancient battlefields to relive scenarios based on the main computers records of history. The process is more draining on mature minds and thus only minors can use the system. Every year a tournament is organized and prisoners have the options of entering in two man (/woman) teams. It is a better alternative as compared to the pilgrimage, but it can be just as dangerous, blurring reality for the combatant.

Our characters would be applicants who get paired up together before preliminaries. They will have to have some sort of tactical minds, allowing them to command forces from varying eras (Eg. Roman, Greek, Three kingdoms Chinese). They want to win this tournament and regain their freedom. Why they were made prisoners is totally up to us.

If these at all appeals to you let me know! I kind of thought about them on the fly. Definitely open to tweaks and changes. We can work on details together if you wish. I would like to play MC male, I would prefer practice RP with male characters but I’m okay with YC being either gender.

Do drop me a message if you are interested :) Let me know if I missed out anything in this interest check that concerns you. Thanks for taking a read!

Hmmm, none of your plots spark that certain something, but you did say you are open to suggestions and into fantasy. I have a question. Are you into the dark side of fantasy, like creatures of the night?
