Looking up from the dossier folder and back across the table at Lucas, Christian hesitated as if choosing his words carefully. "A dirty cop and a, probably crazed, Russian ex-pat? I mean, I can understand the Canuck, but.." The words sounded stupid to him even as they came out of his mouth. "That's who you vet? For a job?" He continued to stare at Lucas, who was now smiling into his coffee mug.
"You always wanted someone with connections, now we have that. Information and hardware. Ord's probably got some guns stashes away or knows someone who does. And Stevens could probably pull a few strings if we needed." The bearded man set his cup down finally before waving the waitress over. Verona, the waitress, knew Lucas and Christian by their false identities as regulars at Donatella's. She was pretty, with dark hair and skin. Part Filipino and a distant relative of the restaurant's owner.
Lucas whispered something to her as she leaned over to him while simultaneously refilling both of their coffees. With a nod the woman walked away from the table.

She would approach them, whenever possible, and let them know that the two men in the farthest booth had bought them a coffee.

An anonymous phone call hey, what a way to get a mans attention, Tim was very suspicious about the call but as far as he knew every government agency in the world was still looking for him in Europe so he went to the address given, its a quiet diner there are a few customers and it will be easy to keep a low profile here, so he grabs a booth next to the door, "easiest escape route in case this is a setup" he thinks to himself as he sits seemingly browsing the menu.

Tim quietly sits at his booth looking over the diner, always vigilant, watching everybody and everything around him its as he is doing his initial scan that he sees a waitress approaching him, a pretty young thing not that he has any interest in woman anymore being as old as he is but when the waitress reaches him and pours him a cup of coffee she doesn't greet in a friendly manner or ask him how his day is as a waiter usually would but instead leans in as she's pouring his coffee and tells him that the two men in the far booth bought him said coffee.
The signal, Tim thinks to himself as the waitress turns, his scan of the premises no longer important, his eyes now only fixated on the two men sitting in the far booth, Tim takes his time to observe them, one man with dark hair wearing a leather jacket and another sitting across from him with light hair and an impressive beard not unlike his own wearing a grey t-shirt.
Tim watches them for a while until he is sure that these are indeed the right men, after which he slowly gets up from his booth and moves to the one closest to them as he sits he makes a comment sure to get their attention if they are indeed the right guys "Can't teach an old dog new tricks" he says now looking directly at them.
At worst if it's not them they'll simply think is a crazy old coot and ignore him, its worth a shot right.

He had no idea why he came out here, he got a phone call and considering he all but fell off the grid its pretty interesting to get a call at all. The location was a quaint diner, Stevens chuckled to himself it was almost something out of a movie, the corrupt cop meeting some strange informer at a grease trap diner. Stevens adjusted his coat as he walked in, all things considering the restaurant was fairly normal. He takes a seat at the counter, not much else to do but wait.

After a few minutes one of the waitress comes up to him with a (maybe) fresh mug of coffee. She doesn't say much other the motioning to a pair of men sitting in a fat booth. Stevens waves to the waitress to acknowledge he knows. When she left Stevens leans back in his stool with sigh, he wanted nothing to do with strangers, for all he knew they could be his former coworkers undercover. Ah well maybe lifetime in federal person wouldn't that bad, time to go for broke. He takes a sip of his coffee, which wasent that bad if not somewhat stale, and moves to meet the men. It seemed someone else was invited, an old man no idea who he was and didn't care enough to know yet.

Stevens without a word takes a seat beside the bearded man, if this was business then its best to get straight to the point. "So, might be good to tell me why I'm here, if you two know who I am then you'll know I can't walk around too often anymore."

Alex leaned over the counter where the line of swivel stools faced the entrance to the kitchen. Her arms propped her torso up, shoulders slightly hunched, blue eyes cast down. She was staring down at her hands folded together on the counter deep in her thoughts. She figured the two men conversing in the booth at the far side of the room were her contacts but was waiting just a bit longer before she revealed herself. She knew, based on the invitation she was given in a phone call she received the day before, she was most likely not the only person who would be arriving and she was keen on seeing who else might arrive before she announced herself. She glanced to the side as the door opened, an older man entering and sitting very close to the entrance from where he arrived. The waitress then took her attention, placing a mug of hot coffee in front of Alex and informing her it came compliments of the men at the far booth. Alex's eyes locked down on her coffee as she realized this was it. Her slender fingers wrapped around the hot mug, taking in the much desired warmth. Tending to run cold she wore layers: tight dark jeans, black Nikes, a black zip up sweatshirt with a thermal and tank underneath. She kept the hood off of her head, her blonde hair messily tousled around, pieces dropping over her brow. As she gazed down at her coffee she exhaled softly. Her next move would determine a path in her life that would either finally get her caught, not one to normally work with groups or anyone besides herself and her contact, or she would be wildly successful and possibly rich. High risk, high reward, she reminded herself. In another moment the old man who entered got up and made his way towards the two other men at the far booth. Her eyes moved shortly from the trio back to the door as it opened up again, revealing another man, this one startlingly tall and large. She resisted from lingering her gaze too long though, keeping him in her peripheral. She turned her head again as he passed her joining the other men, boldly sitting down and joining conversation. Finally, she made her decision, and straightened up, pulling her hands away from the warm mug and leaving it sitting untouched on the counter. Alex turned and began walking towards the men slowly but with her usual confidence, her steel blue eyes trained on Lucas as she neared.

Standing now in front of the four of them Alex placed her hands in the pockets of her sweatshirt and tilted her weight to one side. "Hello" she said in an almost monotone voice. "Alex" she said simply, assuming they would be taking role call if they didn't know her already. An old informant had given her new contact her information so she could be sure they had a profile on her of some sort. If for some reason she had the wrong group, if they turned out to be an odd bunch of buddies looking to buy a drink for a girl, she would simply walk away; she doubted coffee was the new way to get in to a girls pants though.

Her eyes stayed on Lucas, casually glancing to Christian, not even bothering to look to or acknowledge either Tim or Stevens.

Dan sat at the far end of the counter his eyes scanning the patrons and roving back to the door periodically seeing people come and go. He only casually scanned the menu to look busy and blend in with the other people either talking or eating. It didn't seem like a total dive and might actually be a good place to grab a bit to eat. Danny had gotten a tip off that this would be the meeting place if he was good enough to get in. He knew he was small time but this was his chance to go beyond that and that was something he couldn't pass up.

Looking up again he saw a waitress move from one booth and then hand out two coffees then head his way. As she approached he flashed a smile and accepted the coffee trying to flirt a bit just to keep her talking. She smiled and walked away back to her work behind the counter. Turning on the stool Dan waved at the two in the booth now three people. Dan ordered a plate of pancakes and decided to wait more or less until he was acknowledged by the two in the booth before approaching plus these cake looked pretty good and he'd been starving lately and the cash was starting to dry up.

It had been hard going in the states so far being new in town everyone was a bit wary without a vouch from a long timer. This was his chance and he was more than ready to prove his worth. Dan received his cakes and drowned it in syrup taking glances at the door still and the booth where his coffee had come from. Raising his cup again to the booth he took a sip digging in happily.

"The tricks don't change much in our line of work." Christian spoke into his coffee more than anything, though still audible enough for the man to hear.
Lucas nodded at the seat next him as if motioning Tim over. Assuming his offer accepted, Lucas would scoot over some to allow the muscle-bound figure to ease into the booth more freely.
"There's another two here." He said to the new man sitting next to him. "Like you." Lucas nodded in the direction of the man fast approaching their booth.

With a slight sigh, Christian looked up at the former police officer. He didn't like cops. Even cops that weren't exactly employed by the force any longer. He felt as though there was always going to be something blue in their blood, regardless of how many crimes they committed. Still, he scooted over in his seat to allow Mark to sit down. "Then don't walk." He spoke somewhat gruff and sarcastic to him. "Sit."

Aside from the man who only just approached the table, Lucas kept his eye on the man eating his pancakes. He didn't know for certain if the man had taken the hint to come and join them with the free coffee, but he wouldn't be the one to break the silence and beg him to come and sit.
Instead, he turned to glance at the other two besides himself and Christian. “So,” he paused briefly “What do you fine gentlemen do for a living?” He asked as though a response reflecting legitimacy would come from their mouths.
