In the 1860 presidential election, Republicans, led by Abraham Lincoln, opposed the expansion of slavery into US territories. Lincoln won, but before his inauguration on March 4, 1861, seven slave states with cotton-based economies formed the Confederacy. The first six to secede had the highest proportions of slaves in their populations, a total of 48.8% for the six. Outgoing Democratic President James Buchanan and the incoming Republicans rejected secession as illegal. Lincoln's inaugural address declared his administration would not initiate civil war. Eight remaining slave states continued to reject calls for secession. Confederate forces seized numerous federal forts within territory claimed by the Confederacy. A peace conference failed to find a compromise, and both sides prepared for war. The Confederates assumed that European countries were so dependent on "King Cotton" that they would intervene; none did and none recognized the new Confederate States of America. Hostilities began on April 12, 1861, when Confederate forces fired upon Fort Sumter, a key fort held by Union troops in South Carolina. Lincoln called for every state to provide troops to retake the fort; consequently, four more slave states joined the Confederacy, bringing their total to eleven. Lincoln soon controlled the border states, after arresting state legislators and suspending habeas corpus, ignoring the ruling of the Supreme Court's Chief Justice that such suspension was unconstitutional, and established a naval blockade that crippled the southern economy. The Eastern Theater was inconclusive in 1861–62. The autumn 1862 Confederate campaign into Maryland (a Union state) ended with Confederate retreat at the Battle of Antietam, dissuading British intervention. To the west, by summer 1862 the Union destroyed the Confederate river navy, then much of their western armies, and the Union siege of Vicksburg split the Confederacy in two at the Mississippi River. In 1863, Robert E. Lee's Confederate incursion north ended at the Battle of Gettysburg. Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation, which made ending slavery a war goal. Western successes led to Ulysses S. Grant's command of all Union armies in 1864. In the Western Theater, William T. Sherman drove east to capture Atlanta and marched to the sea, destroying Confederate infrastructure along the way. The Union marshaled the resources and manpower to attack the Confederacy from all directions, leading to the protracted Siege of Petersburg. The besieged Confederate army eventually abandoned Richmond, seeking to regroup at Appomattox Court House, though there they found themselves surrounded by union forces. This led to Lee's surrender to Grant on April 9, 1865. All Confederate generals surrendered by that summer. This is a short description of the civil war, one of the bloodiest conflicts in the U.S's history. It was also the beginning of what some say to be the Modern Age of Warfare. Let's just say though, that the Europeans decided to support the CSA, out of wanting the cotton. The British join the war and the U.S is now fighting on two fronts, and on the those two fronts, they cripple. Or, what if the C.S.A succeeds at bringing the British into the war, but at the cost of not being allowed to ship slaves from Africa, a war still fought on two fronts for the U.S, a war that would still result in a Confederate victory. Now, we enter the Roleplay. King Cotton Works, and the British recognise the CSA and they form an alliance with them. Once the CSA attack Fort Sumter, the British join in and the war on two fronts begin. The British forces quickly attack the parts that border Canada and the C.S.A invades the west, quickly capturing New Mexico and Arizona. The U.S.A attempts to call in allies, but these calls fail and soon the united forces of the British and Confederates overpower the U.S. Once peace talks begin, the C.S.A makes a deal with Britain, stating that slaves born on C.S soil would stay slaves, but the Atlantic Slave Trade would end. The C.S also forced the U.S.A to give up Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona, southern California, West Virginia, Missouri, and Kentucky. The British also took Maine, adding it to the Newfoundland territory. The C.S, who still held there alliance with England, decided to invade Mexico, stating that Mexico was not truly free, and that there land most be conquered for the Greater good of God. Britain, who did not join the war, but still funded the C.S.A, did nothing to stop them, and by 1870, the saga of the Golden Circle Began. The C.S armies with the help of Robert E. Lee quickly destroyed the Mexican forces and by 1871, all of the land up to Mexico City was occupied by the C.S.A. The Mexicans brought in the Central American states to the war, but together, they just prolonged what would happen, and in 1873, Mexico and the Central American states up to Panama where added to the Confederacy, forming what would be known as the First Stage of the Golden Circle. In 1874, the British sell Belize to the C.S.A for 12,000,000 dollars, the British also made a deal saying that the C.S.A would sell over 50% of there cotton to the British. The C.S accepted the deal and soon, Belize was made an influential navy state in the country. In 1876, the C.S buys Cuba and Puerto Rico from the Spanish for 20 million dollars. Cuba, a place that already had slaves, quickly became one of the largest states, Puerto Rico was added to the state of Cuba in early 1877. The Dixiefication of Mexico began when the mass shipment of Latinos in Central America and Mexico started. Colombia made a deal with the C.S, stating that for the price of not conquering them, they could ship all the Latinos they wanted into there territory. By 1886, the date in which the Golden Circle Saga ended, Dixie was the main culture across all there country. So yeah, thats it, still contemplating that if I do release this if I should expand into WW1 or if I should let y'all start here.

Well, I might add individual characters, but yeah, once I expand this into the actual RP scale, you can decide if the country has slaves or not.

Cool, but an idea might be: We are are governors within the extremely statist CSA, pushing for Presidency. *Mind Blown* Just a thought.
