Two different RP threads in collaboration

Nation Roleplaying (NRP) and Advanced Character Roleplaying in collaboration, what are your thoughts about it? I know there are aspects in NRP's that involves character based Roleplay. But what I'm pitching here is a different thread; focused on the characters in the universe created by the NRP. (or vice versa, a NRP based on the universe of the Character based.) The idea of it revolves around the collaboration of the two threads in creating a more complex type of RP which generates content (events or story arcs) based on the significant entries done in the different threads. I don't know if this was done before or I'm just missing someone doing it already. Best I leave it here for you guys.

I remember playing around with a military sci-fi Advanced RP connected to an NRP, but I never actually made it. I always liked the idea though, and probably would have done it if I actually had the time to GM two RPs and post in all the others.
