So, I had a pretty unusual idea hit me just now. Once again, before I forget, I will write it down here.
So, the idea that I had was that there's these two rivals. Both of them are almost as old as the beginning of time. Both of them at one point or another were champions of civilizations and gods long past that started out just before humans gained a foothold in the world that they live in now. These two were very intelligent and knew secrets that the normal human race would never know not even in the future. Very skilled in magic, martial arts, and even technology. Well, you get the idea. These two were enemies because they realized no matter how many times they were reborn, they will continue to find each other and fight. Why? These two were at one point champions of two respected gods. (Who they are is up to you.) Those two gods were enemies, they were the exact opposite of each other and always fighting to be better than the other until they realized that their power was waning and they began to grow weaker. Not much was known why. It in fact happened to all gods before normal humans started their lives. Instead fading away like the others, these two gods chose to have their own souls be reborn into a human of their choice. Both a man and a woman. Once they integration was complete, these two became self aware with their memories and powers. These two began to wander the Earth, teaching the human race to better themselves.
What came of that was the time period of Ancient Greece, these two eventually found themselves with the new gods of that time period. Finding the descendants of the gods that currently resided in their bodies and became their champions due to their intimate knowledge throughout the ages and their immense power. (Example, one became the champion of Zeus and the other Hades.) The gods fought throughout that period but none of them lived to see the next era except the two immortal rivals. Although they were mortally wounded and eventually died as well. They were reborn into the next era, the Middle Ages. (I know I'm skipping but for good reason.) Both of them were know born into royal families. One being a prince and a princess. (It doesn't matter who they were born under. In fact that part could be made up.) They were once again enemies. Unlike many royalty in that period, they fought on the front lines. That was until their parents had decided to have peaceful talks with their neighboring countries and that meant the ones they were born under as well. This was because a more powerful king who had set their sights on expanding their territory starting with them. This eventually called for a truce of the two kingdoms. Their parents were still iffy on this idea but they had no choice if they wanted to protect their people. They were old and they didn't have a lot of time left. Their kingdom would be left up to their kids, our characters. An arranged marriage was soon in the works and the two rivals despite their protest would have to married in order to make these two neighboring kingdoms as one. This would in turn combine all their allies in order to fight this upcoming war against this king.
Two rivals who has been fighting through the annals of time now have to be married for the sake of their kingdom's future. The two don't even like to be in the same room let alone think that the two of them can marry each other even if it's to save their own kingdoms. They had no choice. It had to be done. Magic was more common now than it was back then, it was even in their own military ranks. Even if they had powers of a god and then some, they weren't invincible. They also wasn't heartless to let so many innocent people die. So for the sake of the future, they had to get married, team up, and beat this new threat.
The question is would they be able to set aside their differences in order to do this? This is what this roleplay is about. It doesn't have to have romance in it especially what I have planned for it next. Still, it be interesting to see. So tell me what you think about this! Happy reading!
