I'm going out on a limb to see if I can find someone who would match the kind of story that gets me excited to write, as well as someone I can comfortably write with, where we are both engaged in our shared creative experience.
Here are some ground... suggestions. I'm flexible, and even aside from a few personal requests, if we aren't meshing well as a creative unit, I will let you know, and would appreciate the same candidness in response.
1) I'm in my mid twenties, and I'll be honest about that. I like a roleplay with mature themes (and I mean mature to encompass all sorts of areas - gore, challenging and sensitive topics, profanity - only when necessary to the story, etc.) and I personally don't feel comfortable approaching those themes with someone significantly younger than me. If you're younger than eighteen or nineteen, I would appreciate the use of discretion in not responding to my request.
2) I am all about the character development! I love challenging, maiming, and even killing off characters for the sake of a really good, compelling story. I would appreciate no god-moding and have every intention of returning that courtesy, but people who don't coddle their creative mind-babies would be excellent. I love a compelling story. I am not closed off to the potential of romance, but I absolutely do not want that to be the main focus. I love driven plots, and I love it when both writers contribute to it, so you can be rest assured, I will bring a lot to the table, and would love to see you do the same.
3) I am not the type to come into a story with a predetermined setting. It is one of the hardest things to completely immerse myself into a pre-built world where I do not know, and cannot adhere to the intricacies. So let's build that together. If you've got a really neat city/culture/world building idea, and I've got a really neat city/culture/world building idea, let's mash them together and see what happens! Or build our own universe from scratch. Or stick to the guns and go modern. If you have lore that your character needs in order to be sustained, great! Bring it! And let me do the same.
4) I will play both male or female characters interchangeably. I honestly do not have a preference. That being said, I do have a lot of well established characters, but will probably make up new ones throughout the course of the roleplay that will fit whatever direction it takes.
5) I am open to pretty much any genre, so long as it is compelling. Drama, fantasy (medieval/modern/whatever), I will struggle through sci-fi depending on how in-depth it is. In either case. Let's just have fun! I'm not too picky on that front. No Fandoms, however.
If I could sound like an ideal roleplay partner for you, give me a shout and let's see what we could come up with! I'm all about mashing ideas together, as opposed to having a set starting point that I, or you have dictated.
Here are just a few plot suggestions I have to kick things off, but if you've got something you're interest in trying, please, do not hesitate to let me know!
For years, the government has operated and funded a special section of the CIA, sometimes in conjunction with the FBI known as the Special Persons Unit. There is no counting the secrets this part of the agency has kept, locked within facilities that house some of the most classified databases and experiments in the country. The biggest secret? All those stories told to you as a child are real. All of them. If you can imagine it, this department has been working for years to keep it under wraps, whether it be vampires, werewolves, any form of supernatural beings, even the fantastical. Because those stories had to come from somewhere, right?
((Ideally, you would play one of these creatures. If you're interested, I'd be more than happy to tell you more about the agency/how it operates/what its function is, etc.))
For years, it was believed dragons have been extinct. It's actually been questionable that they even existed at all, though there are legends of all kinds. Metallic dragons, acid dragons, fae dragons, ones that can shape shift. The truth is that all this time, they've merely been sleeping, hibernating to stay out of the meddles of much smaller, shorter lived species, but you've managed to find one of them.
