I'm fairly new to the 1x1 scene but I've enjoyed the one i'm doing. I'm big on all sorts of things from Original plots to Fandoms although I'll admit I've never tried playing a Canon character so that could be something to try.
A lot of my RP ideas can haf 18+ content but I'm open to content not as graphic. to me 18+ can be anything from intense violence to romantic/sexual interactions (Those those I have to insist be MxF nothing against anything else its jsut what I'm comfortable with)
