The Arena works pretty simply. The rules vary, well can, but mostly everyone sticks to the same ruleset, give or take some changes. It is turn based, and works on a mostly logic system. Can you do whatever you are attempting based off your previous actions plus your characters ruleset? That's gonna be the basic process no matter what.

Mainly, anything you wanna know, just ask simply. I suggest reading some of the current and previous fights to get a good grip. There are some magically inclined fights and some melee based fights as well.

Which guy?

That comes down to the Arena(henceforth known as battleground), that you are fighting in.

Ah, I have started to look around in the arena roleplay section, I haven't seen any of the actual combat yet, I know I should look for earlier battles. and so far everything looks cool and all, but where should I start. I know that I should not start in a ranked battle as it would be foolish to do so. What I am trying to say here is how should I go about starting my arena experience and Finding fellow novices. Should I just make a topic and interest check like normal? or should I go to the arena chat? or should I make a topic and have other people fight in it to demonstrate,or would that be a total wuss move on my part if I don't fight? how should I take the first steps into the glorious arena.

don't start in a ranked battle. read some of the other fights.

Skallagrim vs DJAtomika.
DJAtomika vs Rilla.
Just pick a good topic thag features Skallagrim, DJ, Melonhead, ImportantNobody, etc. amd read.

You can look for other novices, there are some new ones actually, or ask a veteran to show you the ropes.

I did talk to Important nobody last night And it was funny because I thought that Skallagrim was the youtuber by the same name, a
and I introduced myself to him.

I know going into ranked battle as a newbie is as ill-advised in splitting the party in D&D . thank you for your time , and sorry if I wasn't really comprehensible, as I was filled with nervous excitement to finally join the arena.

Just go have a chat in that arena chat thread. Chances are you'll find several people willing to help you.
