You awaken with a major headache, with your surroundings blurry, but you stand anyways. As your vision clears, you realize that you're not home, or anywhere you recognize for that matter. You look where you were once laying to see a black, fire-outlined imprint of your body on the ground, with nothing but a single, rusted weapon beside the charred spot you "appeared" from. You hear a growl- not like any animal, but like a human's vocal chords being used with the least amount of humanity possible. Turning to face the sound's supposed origin, you see a young boy. Maybe twelve in age. You wave a greeting in hopes to figure out what happened. In response, the boy cocks his head to the side, frowns, and echos the previous growl, with his face twisting in a horrid motion that makes him seem less like a human and more like Venom from the Spider-Man series.
Here's a sample intro to a character from my side. I simply play the part of the GM, more closely to a D&D GM, as everything I write will be the world's reaction to the players' posts. This will be set in a modern setting, but there will be an absence of guns, since the end of times has come, and this may not be the world you once knew. Also, YOU CAN DIE*. But that aside, it's a combination of D&D-styled adventure and normal RP-style battling, with some Dark Souls concepts sprinkled around for good measure. There will be a loose "turn" system, which is just everybody post once, I (as the world, environment, enemies, etc) respond to how the player(s) have acted (this is subject to change if it seems unnecessary).
*Death is not guaranteed, thought usually death will be avoidable. All dead player-characters can be found and looted, unless "something" happens to them. Any player with a dead character can create a new one. Terms and conditions may apply. See store for details.
