In the waning days of the Epoch, the Domain collapsed. Hyper-gate travel to the Core worlds was cut off. There was no more 'Domain of Man'. Only the factions that could survive without the guiding hand of the Domain of Man. Now new factions rise and thirst for power in this ripe, untamed galaxy.
Our story starts in a uninmportant cluster of systems, located on what was once the edge of the Domain of Man.
The Axrelien Cluster. Five different, major factions compete in this cluster.
The Hegemony.
A direct descendant from the Domain of Man, the Hegemony rules it's worlds with an iron fist. It's is regarded as the largest military power in the sector, but it's navy is aging and outdated.
The Tri-Tachyon.
A splinter group of the Tri-Tachyon corporation, the Tri-Tachyon are the most advanced in the sector, capable of building new ships and creating new blueprint-chips for the construction of ships and modules.
The Luddic Church.
Born out of doomsday preppers and religious extremists during the Collapse, the Luddic Church is second to the Hegemony in military power due to their highly advanced Cathedral-Class starships. The Luddic church itself seeks to rid Humanity of technology, but is highly hypocritical in that regard.
The Sindarian Diktat.
A splinter of the Hegemony's power, lead by a former Hegemony Admiral who rebelled against them. The Sindarian Diktat is a relatively new nation, but falls just behind the Luddic Church in military power thanks to it's mostly modernized, small fleet of powerful ships. Often regarded as a bunch of rabble, no one really takes them seriously due to their new-ness to the cluster. In an Alliance with the Tri-Tachyon known as the Darkstar Institute.
The Colonial Navy
Once again, a split of the Hegemony's former power. A collection of freethinkers and liberatarians sick of the Hegemony's oppressive tactics, they staged a daring assault on a Hegemony world and seized it, renaming it Liberation. The Colonial Navy has since earned the ire of the Luddic Church along with the Hegemony, but is strong allies with the Sindarian Diktat and Tri-Tachyon.
In this RP, you create a new faction of your choosing or control one of the existing ones. The Hegemony however, can not be chosen.
