The year is 1899, and the Wild West is dying. Barbed wire closed the frontier, the railroad slowly but surely brought civilization, the telegraph brought law and order. The West is settling down, but you aren't, not by a long shot. The days of adventure are coming to an end- there's no more Indians to fight, it's near impossible to rustle cattle, criminals are much more likely to wind up in prison than go down in a blaze of glory.

Then again, maybe a blaze of glory is still possible. One last hurrah for the days of adventure, a chance to retire on top.

The government plans to mint a new gold dollar to commemorate the new century. And so, nearly $1 million in gold bullion is being loaded on a special car of a passenger train in Colorado Springs, Colorado to be transported to the mint in San Francisco, California. 1300 miles across the West, through isolated country, a perfect chance for one last train robbery.

Then again, you're far from being the only person with that thought. . .

The premise is simple. It's the end of the Old West, and you're on a train that just so happens to have $1 million in gold on it. Maybe it's your job to protect it, maybe you're just caught in the middle of it all. Or, of course, maybe you're plotting to steal it.

This is an adventure Western first and foremost- I'm more concerned with having a fun time than historical accuracy (though don't expect any steampunk stuff). Colorful characters and elaborate schemes are par for the course, and expect plenty of action- fights, chases, shootouts, the like. Players are free to take one another on, provided we can do that without feelings being hurt.

Let me know if you have any questions!
