Hey there! Thanks for stopping by. I'm Luminosity, but feel free to call me Lumi or Lum. If you're here, I suppose that means you have some interest in finding a 1x1 partner. Maybe that can be me! Here's a bit about me and my preferences, plus a few plots and a general idea of what I'm interested in. In general, if you want to talk, about RPing or anything else, just shoot me a PM. I always try to make time for new friends.

This will be a pretty long read, but hopefully that'll limit my audience to people that are really interested. So, let's get started :)

About Me

I'm 23, female, and currently trying to figure out how that whole "being an adult" thing works. I've been roleplaying on this site for a little over two years off and on, but in general I've been roleplaying for years, here and there. I live in Tennessee currently, and I'm on US Central Time. This will probably change in a few months, as I have no idea where I'll be by the end of the year.

My writing level on this site varies from casual to advanced, though the sweet spot is usually around 4-5 paragraphs per post. I've never been a free-level roleplayer, and writing that little per post is typically a turn-off for me.

I make a lot of time for RPing, but I am busy quite often, and so my posting rate will vary. Sometimes I'll feel like posting multiple times a day, and sometimes I won't be able to post more than once a week. Please keep this in mind if you'd like to RP with me.

As you can probably see above, my characters are all female. I write all kinds in lots of genres in my personal work, but I RP here to just write what I enjoy most. So I always play female characters, usually heterosexual, but that's less important.Interests/Genres

I seem to vastly prefer dark, sort of low-fantasy genre more than anything else. I enjoy a certain level of grittiness and toughness to the world that contrasts with the optimism my characters have pretty well. I really love writing characters that have their lofty ideals challenged, and characters that aren't able to achieve anything easily. I beat up my characters. I injure them physically and emotionally. I feel bad because I enjoy it, but I feel it makes for a better story, too.

So adventure and action are great. Semi-realistic fighting is actually one of my favorite things to write, either with our characters fighting together, or even against each other. Romance? It's great, but I don't really want to go into RPs aiming to match characters together romantically. If it happens naturally, it'll be wonderful and I'll love it. In terms of writing romance, I've never done it without fading to black. I'm not against writing it out, it's just not something I've done, so please be aware of that. Violence and language are not a problem for me, however.

Okay, enough about me, on to what I'm looking for in you :)Potential Partners

Okay, so here's a list of thoughts regarding people I'm looking for. My potential partners will need to be:

	1. Over 18. If there's no chance of adult content in our RPs, I can bend on this, but in general I would like to RP with people around my age. I'm just more comfortable that way.
	2. At least casual level of writing. I know the definitions for this are ambiguous, but I would like you to be able to write 2-3 good paragraphs minimum per post. There's no real upper limit, as long as it's all useful and gives me things to reply to. Just don't ramble endlessly for the sake of post length.
	3. Able to post once a week. Again, this is a soft rule, and shouldn't be a problem if we're both very interested in what we're working on. More important is...
	4. Willing to communicate regularly. Just keep in touch. Let me know if you can't post for a day or two, what you're thinking about doing IC, planning stuff, or just chat with me! Especially important early on, so we can get a working relationship, get comfortable with each other. I will do my best to do the same for you.
	5. Enthusiastic. This is actually really important to me. I don't want to have to prod you into RPing with me, or to keep posting, or to figure out where we're headed IC. I want you to want to write with me, you know? And if you can show that to me, I'll be all the more excited to work with you! And lastly...
	6. Willing to contribute ideas. I don't have fully designed plots just waiting for characters to jump in. I've got bits and pieces of ideas of things that sound fun to me. I need you to not only be willing to contribute, but to contribute stuff that you really want to do. Don't RP with me because you sort of think it might be fun. RP with me because you're inspired by an idea and you want to build on it yourself.

That's about it. As lots of people often include, if you lose interest along the way, please just let me know rather than disappear. I know it's tough and you don't want to anger someone by bailing, but letting them know is better than just saying nothing. I will do my best to do the same for you, if I'm not feeling it.Plots

Probably only willing to take one of each of these plots at a time. I can only take on so many partners, after all, and would prefer for the different things I'm participating in to not have loads of similarities. So, here we go.

The Pale Princess (Fantasy, FxM or FxF, adventure, action, combat, death, possible romance?)

A human female princess (my character) is grief-stricken (or enraged) following the murder (or attempted murder) of her mother, the Queen. Despite being warned, she tracks down the killer (your character), who is either a necromancer, a demon, a warlock of some sort, etc, and she attempts to exact vengeance upon them. It turns out to be a trap that the princess was lured into, and her skill in combat proves to be not enough to save her. She is fatally wounded by the killer, and dies. Soon, however, she is resurrected by her enemy, and though she retains her memory, she feels not entirely like herself...

So with this plot, obviously you need to be comfortable with RP combat, as we would be fighting each other with a pre-determined result right at the start (you get to win, though!) From there, lots of places we could go. My character could continue to try for vengeance after being resurrected, which of course your character has their own reasons for, and can affect her in some way. Maybe her family/kingdom isn't what she thought it was, and she is eventually turned to your side. Again, open-ended, and I'd love your ideas on where to go.

From Humble Beginnings (Fantasy, FxF or FxM, adventure, action, combat, exploration, possible romance)

This one is much more simple, and also open ended. Basically, I would want us to play a pair of brand new adventurers, setting out with their modest gear and skills, looking to make their way and earn renown or fame or fortune, or whatever your character's motivations might be. They could be sisters, brother and sister, or just friends, or perhaps even romantically involved (or perhaps one is interested in the other). They take on jobs and get involved in things they shouldn't, probably finding that their world is a tougher, darker place than they expected. They struggle, get hurt, have feelings, and grow and change.

Basically, this would be a more episodic type thing, where we come up with scenarios or jobs to throw our characters on, and play them out, developing our characters along the way. The idea would be to start with very modest characters that struggle with a lot (killing bandits even shouldn't be easy at all for someone new to that world), but they gradually work up to grander things as they gain experience, and their relationship with each other evolves along the way. Super open-ended.

If you have plots of your own in the fantasy genre, with action, adventure, exploration, anything like that, and you think I'd be a good fit, feel free to pitch them to me, and I'll definitely consider them.

I'm also always considering partners for my 1x1 dungeon crawl thing. If it seems like something you'd be interested in doing, let me know.Wrap-Up

That's just about it! You made it :) Sending a PM is the best way to get my attention, though posting below will work fine, too. I'm not going to do a pairings list, just because I feel it becomes too generic at that point, and I would rather not list specific pairings until I have the beginnings of plot ideas for that pairing. But in general, I will be interested in anything fantasy, and if there's a specific type of pairing you want to do, let me know, and I may be willing to try. 

I know a fair amount of fantasy fandoms, but I'm not into any anime really, as I'm just not drawn to the style. If we don't do something original, probably Dragon Age or Elder Scrolls are what I'm most familiar with otherwise.
