SeizureThree months ago, a mysterious storm hit Augusta, Maine. Numerous people around the city simultaneously suffered a violent seizure, which caused them to be hospitalized for several days. When they awoke, they described their state of mind as being different, almost alien. Preliminary testing showed that their neurological conditions were still in a state of seizure, yet no physical symptoms could be detected on the patients, as they could function normally. The anomaly caught the attention of state officials, whom forced the patients to go through several testing procedures at national agencies and medical and psychological institutions. Upon completion, the patients were sent home, but under strict supervision of qualified personnel. It is currently unknown whether or not the patients pose a threat to their immediate physical surroundings or society as a whole, which is why their release is subject to being revoked. This story follows a few patients that attend the same educational institution. They have recently returned from being away for two months. However, they fear that something much worse is coming than being constantly supervised by officials, but they do not know what or when.As a patient, you have been diagnosed with the following: eidetic memory, absolute aptitude, zero-loss physiological reaction, synesthesia, and absolute nous. These conditions are subject to extreme exploitation, which is why the patients are closely monitored wherever they go. The characters of this story are brought together by two factors: they attend the same educational institution and they are singled out by the presence of government agents. Their first challenge is to get into a room together and talk without the presence of anyone else.
You can probably figure out how a potential plot will play out based on this premise. I imagine it to be structured in episodes similar to shows on television—each episode has its own distinct problem that is related or somehow builds towards the overarching story. If successful, there could be several seasons. I’m sure you know how television series work.
The ‘powers’ and the school and the whole everything is basically just devices for bringing these characters together to solve a problem related to their existence. Therefore, there is or should be a lot of focus on the characters, their lives, those they interact with, and how the recent events and their conditions affect all of these aspects. Wow, much similar, very television show.
I feel old for using the word 'television.'
