Following dinner, Vale had just about enough scouring through books as she wanted. But still her curiosity remained. Just what kind of books were worthy of a royal? A trip back to the library, and a smile to the bookkeeper; she began her interest in the books. One by one, she took a book off the shelf; taking note of the name and general size of the work before putting it back as she found it. Moving on to the next one, and the next, and the next.... Somewhere at the start, she could've sworn she noticed the bookkeeper glaring at her. What reason this could've been, she had no idea. She was granted access to the books, so she shrugged it off. Nothing ever happened of it, so she assumed whatever the keeper's problem was, they were able to get over it. A lot of the books she had remembered pulling out from her actual studies, opting not to bother pulling those out. Of course, while she did end up looking at every single book; most of her knowledge of what the library contained were just fleeting thoughts. Nothing of interest ever did jump out at her, other than her favorite garden travelers guide.
A couple of hours had passed, and she had run out of things to do. Normally at night, she would be in the forest with the nocturnals. Though she didn't dare leave the keep while she remained a guest. She did, however, bring her latest stitching work with her. A small project already almost finished, but given her quick summon; she had little time to grab or start anything else. She found a nice place in the middle of the library to work. Stitching away at her little project; finishing the trim and testing it's quality. It was nothing to compare to lady Marvos' attire, but she was quite proud of it. A little work on her hair, and she'd figure herself to be quite ravishing. Maybe she'd treat the party to her new look come morning. Though, going off to fight a dragon and some giants in it wouldn't be ideal.
It was still extremely early in the morning by the time she finished her dress. Still plenty of time to waste away. She figured she might as well get cleaned up for the day's activity. Heading into the bath house to relax. It was no spring at the base of the mountains, but it felt good all the same. A coy little smirk inched across her face, using her psychic powers to allow her to breath water for a good period of time. The she submerged herself, not coming back up to the surface and watching the door; waiting for another to enter. Of course, the sun hadn't risen yet. And as she waited for a time that never came; hours went by. The bath house still and quiet as she waited at the bottom.
It was a bit disappointing, to be honest, but she eventually left. Gathering her things and opting not to put on her new dress as she made her way back to the library. The sun was ready to rise and with it the party's task at hand.
A traveling craftsman following in her father's craft craft shop and repair. Her mother, obviously not human, was never seen following her birth. Her pointed ears and mixed blood are well known throughout the village, forcing all but exile upon her. This gave her plenty of time to better herself in order to prove she was as good as any woman her age. Waiting for a day she could justify leaving the village behind and find her place in the world.
Her bare feet hobbled back down the way she came, stopping off to the side of the path as she found a clearing within the town. A deep breath. She had to make things look as arcane as possible as she drew out her component pouch and held her staff up in a grand fashion. Reaching within her to convert her natural psionic energy to a more arcane use; and- Well. She paused in her casting, only to take an intense look around. This was her first time out of the forest for most of her life, as she had a sudden remembrance of one of the lost travelers that wandered into her woods. In return for helping him, she was repaid with some of the sweetest brown food she had ever tasted. Chocolate. However, the thought of going shop to shop seemed mis-prioritized given the godly decree moments before. Once more she took a deep breath, now a disappointing sigh, and cast Phantom Steed.
Within a minute, the air materialized in front of Vale; forming together a white steed made of whispering air and light; sprouting one large spike on the forefront of it's head. The horse came equipped with bit, bridle, and saddle; which Vale quickly grabbed and hoisted herself up on the large creature. Biting her lower lip, she set her steed into motion; ushering people out of the way as she trotted along. It wasn't until she was well past the gates that her horse devolved into a full gallop headed north. Her exit was filled with nothing but strange looks. She wasn't sure if it was just the size comparison between her and the horse, or what; but she didn't seem to have much trouble else-wise.
Howdy howdy to all you potatoe lovers. ... Or non-potato lovers too, I suppose. *Gags*
Anyway, bad intro out of the way; welcome to my 1x1 interest check. I don't have much to show for myself, and honestly I don't have a good idea of my roleplay abilities either. But for those willing to press on; I thank you. :3
As mentioned above, I'm relatively inexperienced for anything extravagant. While I doubt I'm 'advanced' material (looking at some of those walls of text is both intimidating and enticing), the 'free' one liners fill me with cringe. Not to say I don't mind them where appropriate. On a more personal note, I'm quite straight to the point and slow to the wit. Often forgetful and enjoy the darker side of humor. I do, however, play a bit better with my characters and anything involving them. My writing varies around casual (assume extremely low to extremely high), though I am extremely reactive to my partners. I might be a bit slow at the beginning, but as I begin to learn your character (and your writing style); I usually adjust to be more beneficial to the both of us. Erm, other things to note; I'm a mid-twenties child at heart that works the twilight shift and sleeps at odd hours. While I live in US Central (-5:00 gmt), my hours of operation are usually/probably from 10 pm - 5 am my time. Of course, if there is anything going on to stay up for; I'll totes mc'gotes be here to discuss anything rp wise. (Unless otherwise busy.) Questions? Feel free to ask, I'm quite the open book.
Welcome to the main focus of this shout out. Here I'll post any/all thoughts and interests. While these are my takes on my ideas, these are our stories. If you have something you wanna try, add, or do instead (other settings included); I'm always game. I expect most to play out during pms, though can move to thread if preferred. However, as always, Guild Rules Apply. That said, I'm pretty chill in quite everything.
Cuss? I don't personally, but go for it; though if I deem it feels right for the character, I might throw on in every 1,000 sentences or so.
18+? Sure. Though I'd rather the focus be on plot AND character development; should our characters develop, I'd love for us to continue down this path in a fitting manner, whatever that may be.
Violence? Probably the only 'mature' thing I might ask for on occation. While I'd usually never go for the sad kind of violence(.001%), I sometimes like to have something for our characters to overcome, setting allowed.
Anything else you want to run by me, I'd be more than happy to find acceptable ground. And as a general rule, I'll accept most any idea; regardless of anything I've noted to indicate otherwise.
Anywho, now for my interests. While I don't usually carry plot around in my back pocket, I am usually good with giving direction. I can make a plot where needed, but this is your roleplay just as much as mine. If you want to see what we can mix together, I'd love to see where it takes us. The following aren't in any particular order, and I don't have much preference as to what is what. I have experience with both male and female characters, and am comfortable playing both. Find something you like; send me a pm.
Knights. Villages. Townfolk. Adventure. Whether high fantasy or low, I love me some good olden times. Lately this has been a crave of mine, and could quite literally go in any direction within this broad scope.
Ideas to note: I'm a fan of rpg elements. While I'm not asking us to do a campaign of some sorts (using D&D as a base example, not limited to), I like the idea of having that kind of overlapping context. This is probably the one I'd most ask for some sort of physical conflict at least once, but I'm not asking for any stated characters. Whether a grand adventure, or a day in the life of. If we can make it from Missouri to Oregon without dying of dysentery, I'd love you as a person.
Well, just card games in general. I recently had this love for deck-building after watching more Wixoss (Madoka Magica + Vanguard anime). I honestly have no ideas to add to this except the theme, but if you want to work something out we can. I adored yugioh during the duel island arc (gotta collect them star chips, yo), and would probably be thinking something along those lines unless you had anything better.
I love me some animu (anime). I've seen most everything and can roll with just about any show. However, I'd almost rather not deal with cannon characters, without reason. This is where I usually have the hardest time coming up with plot, but willing to try. I usually just rather have this taken place before/durring/after the show itself with our own characters. Either how would we deal with this situation differently, or a cut in on how the show's actions would affect/involve our characters.
Anime to note: Yu Yu Hakusho; Soul Eater; Inuyasha; Bleach; No Game, No Life; KonoSuba; Erased; Pokemon; Fullmetal Alchemist; Hellsing; Cowboy Bebop; and so, so, so much more.....
There are some shows I haven't seen and some shows I've stopped watching. And just because I didn't add it above, doesn't mean I'm not at all interested. So ask if you have a craving.
While pretty much the same premise of the animu section; I haven't seen nearly as much of these. (I watch a lot of anime....) That said, my usual problem is how nicely the wrap up these mediums. Either from being episodic, or making a definitive ending; it can be challenging for me to pick up on most of the flavor from the given setting. That said, there are some wonderful cartoons and movies that provide lovely material.
Noted: Avatar last airbender/legend of Korra; Star vs the forces of Evil (a surprise to me); Lord of the Rings; StarWars; Men in Black; ...
Again, even if it isn't noted; feel free to ask. Odds are I'll say yes.
Other themes I like include puzzle, fiction, alternate reality, fantasy, slice of life, strategy, future, past, apocalyptic. In any case; thank you for your time to check me out. :D Enjoy~
