Here's my character, just let me know when it's approved please
Name: Tirren Lais
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Weapon/Equipment/Armor:
Lacking somewhat in armor he has a leather chest piece, two dark blue metal gauntlets, and a thick black cloak that ends just at his ankles. He wears a pair of black flexible gloves made of titanium alloy string.
His weapon, Fate's Quill is a large feather looking 8 inch dagger that also operates as a quill for writing. While it may seem useless the dagger is quite resistant and can lengthen at his will the feathery looking parts pull in lengthening and thinning into 2 and 3/4 foot rapier. More often than not it is attached to a small book by a piece titanium alloy string about the width of piano wire. The wire is 15ft in length and coils up in the spine of his book.
Around his belt in small individual leather cases he carries several containers of ink mixed with dust (red, blue, black and white, sometimes others yet oif not stated he will be carrying these).
Semblance:
His semblance name is Fate's Grimoire. Using the quill and ink he is able to quickly write incantations in a strange language that result in different affects (mainly depending on the type of dust). Also when needed he can discard the book to perform these incantations however it requires much Aura to do so without the book, as his book is Aura infused. His Aura is actually quite high and he is able to wield it well.
Hobbies:
Unsurprisingly he enjoys reading, yet he also enjoys listening to classical muisc, thinking up new and dangerous incantations (not always a good thing) and people watching, plus every once in a while actually socializing.
Bio:
Unlike many of his other classmates Tirren was not inspired by fairytales and legends of heores, rather he took inspiration from the authors of the stories. Their creativity and imagination inspired him to pen own legacy, instead of allowing the twisted pen of fate to do so.
Signal was the first step in his plan of gaining the powers to craft his own story. His parents wished him luck when he applied as they knew there was no way to change their son's mind, leaving him to craft his own destiny.
Upon his acceptance to Signal he studiously began to better himself. He forged his tools that would allow him to control his fate and refined the skills that would allow him to master his own potential Even going as far as training equally with both of hands just in case one of his hands were to become injured. By the time he graduated he was third in his year and only because while his skill with his aura and semblance were refined his weapon skill alone was not the best it could be. Throughout his years in Signal he was constantly underestimated and was always proving his doubters wrong. Yet when it came to the matter of friends he was rather failing. For some part it was due to the fact that he defended some faunus classmates once from some unsavory yet popular students, the other reason being he wasn't a very social person taking little interest in those around him, after all they were of no importance yet. Although once he did try to befriend a fellow classmate but received a cut across his mouth to silence him when he said some rather bluntly rude things about her fighting style, aura control and possibly her intelligence. As he looked towards the future though he knew that he would achieve his legacy.
The next step was Beacon and he had already been accepted, now it was just a matter of an old colleague of his known as fate.
Personality:
Normally quiet and observant. He can become rather excited over the prospect of a new incantation and when confronted with something that intrigues him. While normally reserved he may every once in a while engage in actual social interactions. He is not unfriendly, rather he has no idea how to really go about social things normally, sometimes coming off blunt and rude.
Appearance:
Build: He is 5'11 and lanky.
Outfit: Tirren normally wears a black leather chestpiece with a midnight blue shirt underneath. He also wears a long thick black cloak, dark blue metal gauntlets, black metal gloves, jeans, and black tennis shoes. Around his waist he wears a light brown leather belt with four leather pouches. Attached to the belt by several strands of metal wrapped in leather and bound to a strap on his outer left thigh is a black book with a metal cover and lock on the side. The strap hangs in excess allowing him to actually bring the book up while still attached to the belt. Sticking out from the spine of the book is the end of a quill (his dagger)
Hair: His hair is a long midnight blue that he tends to tie back with a small red ribbon.
Facial Features: He has a sharp angular face, piercing hazel eyes and a small cut diagonally across his lips.
Sample Post:
Looking around the ship he sighed. There were too many people around to work on a new incantation, especially if something were to go wrong. Resigning to just watch his fellow classmates he leaned against the wall of the ship and his eyes caught sight of the group of students clustered in a small circle. He walked towards the group expecting some cowering student to be in the middle, only to find them munching on some cookies. With a sigh he returned to his previous spot. This is going to be a long trip he thought as he settled into his old pose.
