I'm fine with the time skip. Also I think the whole hanging out and grabbing dinner is a good idea. In other words I'm all for it.
What about Søren is scary? It isn't like he has an unhealthy attachment to his guitar or anything.
The moment the van pulled to a stop in the parking lot, Søren opened his door and tumbled out of the van struggling with the seatbelt as it wrapped around his leg. Straightening himself up Søren leaned back into the van to grab his bass. As he started to step around the van with his case cuddled closely to his chest he heard Parker beckon for his assistance with the drums. With a child like pout on his face and a sigh Søren turned to look at his friend, "I don't want to. They're heavy. Besides my precious Nete needs me more." Then looking at the case he spoke in a quieter voice, "Don't you? Hmmm?" Looking back at his friend after a moment of quiet cooing to his instrument he sighed again, "Fine, I'll help. Only because then I get to play my bass. Plus I guess that some help from someone as awesome as me might be required." Slinging the bass onto his back with the case's shoudler strap, Søren skipped over to Parker and the drum kit.

As they were unloading he heard the voice of Matt call out to see if they needed help. Quickly snapping his head up Søren responded with a quick, "Yep!" as he continued to help Parker. Pausing for a moment he looked at the pieces of the drum kit in front of him. Nodding to himself Søren grabbed a cymbal and snare and took off inside the building. As he made his escape from the work he yelled back to the others, "I'll grab these, you guys get the rest and I'll see if Petra is here yet. If she isn't I'll let you know."

Heading back to their recording space Søren chuckled to himself, he had yet again avoided actual work, he was proud of himself. Entering the area he notice Petra on the couch with her guitar out. Setting the pieces of Parker's kit down, he slid the case for Nete off his back. As he opened the case with care and lifted out Nete he called out to Petra, "Parker and Matt are here. They're grabbing the rest of the kit." Now with Nete over his shoulder and his fingers playing a light rhythm he turned to face her and asked, "Been here long?"
As the door shut, Justin's mind was already racing. Thoughts tore through his head, well not thoughts more like incoherent fragments of thought. With a maelstrom of incoherency tearing around his head he walked into his apartment. Sitting down, Justin began to proccess the entire conversation he had just had. Thinking to himself, 'Okay first establish the order of events. Let's see, bumped into each other, brought her coffee, apologized, and then set up a date fo Saturday at 10:30. Wait! A date? How did that happen? Wh-whatever I'm not going to complain.' With his thoughts and recent events organized Justin strecthed out on his bed and just let the day replay through his head, until he fell asleep.
Saturday morning Justin rolled out of bed and onto his feet. For some reason he couldn't place he was relatively excited for the events of the day. Then it returned to him the thing that had been dominating his thoughts since it first was arranged, the date. The excited energy immediately turned into a wave of nerves as he got ready for class. Dressed in a pair of black jeans, plain red shirt, and his beat up black converses Justin headed out of his apartment making sure to grab his laptop bag and his jacket before exiting. Justin just hoped that his nervousness would resolve itself during his two hour lecture.

After class Justin hurried off towards the coffee shop. His bag flopping aginst his thigh, threatening to throw off the jacket he had draped over the bag. Slowing as he got closer to the shop, he looked at his phone checking the time. It was 10:38, he was eight minutes late. Making his way into the store he looked about for Anna. Spotting her sitting at a table looking about, he approached the table slowly. Pulling his seat out he place his bag on the back and sat down.
"I'm sorry for being late," Justin said apologeticly while looking down at the table. Then glancing up he asked, "Have you ordered yet?"
Dangling his feet over the back of the couch, Søren was laying with his head hanging off the front of the seat. In his hands he firmly held Nete, his beloved bass guitar named for one of the Mousai Apollonides. His fingers gently sliding along the strings and across the strings as he played a sponatneous song that grew and changed with every passing moment.

Søren sighed happily. He loved these moments him and Nete only, everything but the music they were creating forgotten. 'If only it could be like this all the time' Søren thought to himself as he continued to play. His eyes closed softly as he let his mind meld into the melody that he and Nete created.

Three short honks from a horn followed by a fourth longer one broke the serenity of Søren's mind. Throwing his feet over his head he rolled off the couch and onto his feet, and played a final a chord to the improvised song. Slowly removing the bass from his grasp he set her in her case. He sighed again this time in slight aggravation as his phone went off, it was almost defintely Parker asking him to grab something and to tell Søren it was time to head to practice. Grabbing his phone he unlocked the screen and checked. "Yep it's from Parker," he confirmed out loud, "And, he wants me to get him a shirt. Of course."

With Nete safetly settled into her case, he closed it and set it by the door. Søren then proceeded to grab his black and red striped jacket, slip it on, slide his phone into the jacket's pocket and grab a miscellaneous shirt for Parker. Not even bothering to text Parker, he gingerly picked up the case by the door exiting the apartment and locked it behind him.

Stepping out of the apartment building, Søren approached Parker's van. Opening the passenger door he chucked the shirt at his friend and stepped in after placing his guitar behind the seat.

Looking over at his friend Søren mockingly called out, "Come on Parker for someone so impatient you seem to take forever to get ready. You don't even look like you're ready for band practice and to think you are four years my elder, the shame."
As he went to walk away Justin heard Anna ask him if he wanted to get coffee together sometime. The way she stumbled over the words a bit didn't really register in his head though, instead his thought process was more along the lines of, 'Wait, wait a minute. Is she saying what I think she is? No, probably... probably not, she probably just wants to hang out as friends. Not that I have any problems with that! She does seem interesting.' Reaching a conclusion he turned to look at her.

"Y-yeah, I'd like that. Umm... how about Saturday at the cafe, you know if you want. I'm free anytime after ten thirty. Before that I have a class. Or if you wanted I guess we could grab a cup early in the morning Saturday. Th-though I'm cool with about any day you have free," Justin hurriedly replied with a small lopsided smile.

Standing there looking at her, he could feel his cheeks heat a little as he proposed the possible plans. Oblivious to Anna's own blush, he just thought about the fact that he was happy she was even willing to actually talk to him, by this point and time most women just gave up on him and all his stammering awkwardness. His smile getting a bit broader, Justin allowed himself to indugle in the idea of it all being an "actual" date.
Yeah your post was fine. I apologize for not replying sooner.
I should be able to get a post up later today, but right now I have to finish up an english paper I've put off.
I'm cool with the stoner van and the practice days.
After a moment the door to the apartment opened. Standing in the door way was Anna in a tanktop and shorts, her hair wet and her eyes wide. Immediately she began to apologize and asked if he was alright. It took Justin a moment to reply, in fact for a moment he didn't think he could he was stunned. She was apologizing to him for something he was pretty sure was his fault.

Chuckling awkwardly under his breath Justin replied, "I'm fine, and there isn't any need to apologize to me. Actually, I-I came here to apologize to you. I should have been watching where I was going instead of getting distracted by my friend." Looking her over he asked, "You didn't get burnt did you? I would feel horrible if you did."

Standing there in an awkward silence for a moment he remembered the extra coffe still in his hand. Extending the cup towards her Justin stammered, "Oh, um... I got you another coffee, since I caused you to spill yours. It should be the same, I asked the barista to give one of whatever you had. I mean... I guess, I figured you might like to have another since you know, didn't really get to finish the other, so uh yeah here. I guess I'll be going now." he finished lamely avoiding making eye contact, hoping to spare himself some embarrassment. Justin didn't want to really see what she thought of his rambling attempt at an apology.
Name: Søren Frege Wyclif
Race: Caucasian
Gender: Male
Age: 20
Instruments: He can proficiently play the bass guitar and piano. Also he can somewhat play the drums. Other instruments, it is better no to ask because he will try to play them and it would not be pretty.

Other Talents: Søren can sew quite well, is a relatively good painter, and has a knack for remembering faces.

Occupation: Employee at local music store.

Bio: Born in San Franciso to a university music professor, he was single handedly by his father, his mother having died in child birth. Growing up Søren showed great interest in the fine arts. His father of course as a music professor at Vanderbilt University encouraged these interests, and even began to teach his son piano at age seven. These lessons continued until he was fifteen.

The lessons were held at the university, where his father taught, for convenience. In fact it was after one of these lessons when he was fourteen that he met Parker. The young college was getting lessons from Søren's father and the two quickly became friends, bonding over their love of music. In fact it was Parker who introduced Søren to the metal genre and a vast majority of its sub-genres. When high school started Søren purchased a bass guitar from a fellow student and began to teach himself how to play, getting a few pointers here and there from his father and Parker. During his high school years he worked hard on improving his music skills, often in his father's university office. On one occasion he had the pleasure of meeting Matthew, one of his father's students. They ended up pleasantly talking for a while about metal music. Also in high school Søren was asked to join several bands, yet he always declined.com While he was confident in his own abilities and skill, he was not confident in the idea of trying to click musically with others in a group.

In his first year of college at Vanderbilt (he got in on scholarships and a few references from the university's professors) though he quickly bonded with his roommate, Lane, and the even decided to start a band called "The Weather Underground". The idea to form a band had come about one night when Søren had been in the dorm playing an orginal rhythm on his base and his roommate joined in with some of the lyrics he had been working on, the sound melded and they decided to give it a try with a few other students from the university. Shortly before the start of their second year they were offered a contract with a small label named "Deaf Defying Records", and they accepted. Søren dropped out early in the second year of college so he could concentrate on improving his skill on the bass guitar. However, shortly into their time with the label Søren left the band, because he didn't like the label or the songs they were trying to push on the band. He knew the songs were good, but he felt that it was lacking what he had felt back in the dorm the first time he played with Lane. It was about this time that he remembered the times he and Parker talked about the Hollwood music scene, and Søren decide to check it out for himself.

Now he can often be found working at a local music store, in fact he works so often that he easily knows the faces of regulars like Petra. If not working he is either usually out with Parker or back at their place working away on his bass, trying his best to make "The Harbingers" a name to be recognized.

Personality: While he is a bit of an egotist, he tends to be jovial and light hearted, unless you have found some way to tarnish his "honor" (ego). He is also rather determinded in his actions, always feeling he is doing what is right , given whatever situation. When his "honor" has been victimized he becomes slightly withdrawn and epressed, and it usually takes feeding his ego or some lame act of vengance for him to revert to normal.
