The Room

*Lecter looks over at Jillian and sighs*
Lecter: When I woke up, I was in the forest. And... it turns out a certain Devil is around. He sent two Mephistos after me, Devils that wear cloaks to hide their beetle-esque bodies. Now, my plan is to find that Devil and kill him. Before he does anything else.

The Room

*Lecter eats in silence, stowing this new information away for later use*

*Karma gives a shrill cry and flies into the Room, crashing through a window in the process, and immediately heads towards Lecter without hesitation*

The Room

*Lecter quietly listens to Mergoux's conversation, but also eats a belated breakfast so it doesn't seem like he's eavesdropping as much*

*Karma watches the undead, her black eyes taking everything in*

The Room

*Lecter nods*
Lecter: If you know how, that is. I've been hunting Devils for a long time, someone without my experience might not think it's so easy.
*he smirks slightly*
Lecter: It also helps to have a few eyes in the sky, to watch your back for you.

The Room

*Lecter nods*
Lecter: Devils are demons. They come from Hell, and almost all of them are monsters. Figuratively and literally. Luckily, most of them can be killed easily, if you know how to do it.

*Karma stares at the changing bodies and flies onto a nearby branch, and she continues to watch them*

The Room

*Lecter smirks slightly and nods*
Lecter: Agreed. I prefer my blades over bullets, but they are useful.
*slips his duster open enough to reveal a modified M1911 strapped to his side*
Lecter: If anymore show up, they won't be staying long I imagine.
*looks out a window and sighs*
Lecter: Better than a Devil any day.

The Room

*Lecter stands up with a grunt and heads into the kitchen to get food*
*The Devil Hunter nods to Jillian and Mergoux as he does so*
Lecter: Think those knights will have friends that will come looking for them?

The Room

*Lecter shakes his head as Iris runs off*
Lecter: A blade can do a lot of things.
*looks over at Karma and sighs slightly*
Lecter: She's no Devil. Scent was off.

The Room

*Lecter looks over at Iris, notices her changing skin color, and takes a deep breath*
Lecter: Short version, they attacked us. Longer version, they wanted to execute that Mergoux woman, because she's some sort of vigilante. Mergoux took a bit, but she'll live. Only other casualties were these people.

*Karma looks up from her meal to stare at Iris*

The Room

*Lecter nods to Merg as she leaves, and he sighs*
Lecter: I'll be outside. Need to get some fresh air.
*The Devil Hunter steps outside and sits down against the wall, completely unbothered by the sounds of Karma feasting on the dead*
