*Lecter shakes his head*
Lecter: I'm still figuring that one out. I suspect a certain Devil has put me here, trying to toy with me. I've been hunting him a long time, can't be surprised that he retaliated.

*Karma looks up at Horus and cocks her head slightly*
*The falcon gives a half hearted cry before going back to cleaning her bloody talons*

*Karma cocks her head at Horus, and is amused at his call*
*deciding to entertain his call, Karma answers it with her own before flying onto Horus' arm*

The Room

*Lecter nods*
Lecter: Devils earn their name. They will kill civilians without batting an eye, and it's not always a quick death. Or a clean one. Going unchallenged, hundreds of lives, if not more, can be lost because of a single Devil. I've earned plenty of scars when I sent them back to Hell, and I expect I'll earn a few more. Does that answer your question?

*Karma gets bored of being outside and flies back into the main room through the window*
*the bird angles one of its talents towards it's beak and sniffs the blood on it with curiosity*

*Lecter nods*
Lecter: I can guarantee I have dealt with worse than you. I am a Devil Hunter, after all.
*He sighs and scratches at his chin*
Lecter: How about this, you can ask me three questions. I will answer them all honestly, no matter what you ask. In return, you answer my question. I'm a man of my word, I can keep a secret. Agreed?

*Lecter nods once*
Lecter: I'm not something to be afraid of, Hanna. Can you tell me why you grabbed Mergoux, or should I ask something else?
*Lecter speaks patiently, without a single note of harshness in his voice*

*Lecter nods*
Lecter: She's very smart. And observant. Two reasons why I keep her. But if she spoke to you, she would have a good reason for it. She normally keeps to herself. Why would she want to taste you? Is there something... unique, or odd about you? A reason why your eye changes? I'd suspect a Devil Trigger, but like Karma said, you're no Devil.

*Lecter nods*
Lecter: A shame you had to see her like that. She has a much sweeter side to her than that, when there isn't fighting. Now, do you know why she'd be interested in you? I don't suspect you of being a Devil, I would have known if you were one by now, but I do want to know the truth.

The Room

*Lecter nods once and looks over at Iris*
Lecter: She will be fine.
*The Devil Hunter draws both of his blades and sets them down against a sofa*
Lecter: See to it that they aren't damaged. They are important to me.
*Lecter nods to Hanna and leads her off to a side room*
Lecter: Karma has an interest in you. Care to tell me why?

*Lecter nods*
Lecter: Someone can hold my blades while we speak. I promise I won't attempt to harm her. I just want to talk, is that too much? I have been completely honest with you all, I want the favor returned.
