The Library.
A place for people to escape their regular, crappy lives and read about someone else's awesome life. And it's all for free (that is, if you don't bring your books back late).

• Regular roleplay rules apply; no godmodding etc.


• Keep everything PG-13, no cyber


• GMs word is final. I will try and give complete freedom but if there is any major decisions what I say goes.


• Leave the phrase 'I love books' at the end of your CS if you read these rules.


• All OOC arguments can be sorted between yourselves, if it interferes with the roleplay people will be kicked out.


• Only join if you're really dedicated. If you have a lot going on and you might have to quit, please don't join. People leaving a roleplay can make it really difficult to carry on.


• Have fun! If you don't enjoy it, what's the point?

Personality: Laura is sweet and kind. She likes animals and children and music and literature. She's funny, but not mean funny. She's charming, but not in a pompous, snobby way. Everyone she meets likes her, she's interesting. But she doubts herself; she's never been cool and she's clumsy, she's just kind of a dork. She doesn't trust or value her own opinions and constantly seeks approval. To everyone else she's great, but to herself she's not even near.
Brief Bio: Laura comes from a big family. She has five other siblings, two older sisters, two younger brothers and one younger sister. She used to look after her younger siblings and she thought that one day she might be a teacher. As she got older, she became more interested in literature, and wanted to be a successful author. She's still working on things, the library job is just until she gets published.
Other: She has a siamese kitten named Radish.

Name: Eloise Sall

Species: Ghost

Gender: Female

Age: 29 (Appears 18)

Occupation: Unemployed - in life she was working at a bookstore, saving up to move to the big city and get her dream job.

Personality: A relatively new ghost, Eloise has not been dead long. She's past the denial phase but has kind of moved on to just being super moody about it. Why her? She had so much ahead of her, blah blah blah. She's really hard done by, no one knows what she's going through.

She used to be nice though, pretty funny too. A real charmer - a flirt, even! She had a way with people, and people liked her. Heck - she picked up guys in a bookstore - and they were cute! She just had a way with people, you know? They just liked her. She had a pretty laugh, and a beautiful smile, and she wasn't bad looking either! Not only that, but she was smart, and thoughtful. Kind of seems like she had everything going for her, don't it?

Bio: Eloise really wanted to be an actress, she was set on it. She even dropped out college and decided to pursue her dream. Maybe she might have made it - but chances are she would have just gotten into the less desirable 'acting' industry - you know the one. But she still holds the grudge - promises that she would have been somebody had her death not occurred.

Eloise was killed when she was waiting for the subway train to get home from work. The train was coming and she ran out to get on first and TRIP! She lost her balance and fell straight onto the tracks. It was brutal, blood everywhere. And she can remember the pain - that split second before her soul left her body and all she could feel was pain. And the dread, as soon as she tripped and realised what was coming. That second of knowing that she was going, and there was no way of stopping it.

Stuff you often carry: A camera. Not that she can actually take pictures with it but... yeah.

Name: Nora Bell
Age: 18
Race: Faerie
Personality: Nora is courageous and bold. She has a strong urge to help people and is very empathetic. At time she can be very hot-headed, especially if she doesn't get her own way, but usually she's very calm. To some she comes on too strong, and a lot of people try to avoid her because she can be very intense to keep company with. Nora likes to joke around and play pranks, but she can also be very clumsy and heavy on her feet. She finds herself in trouble a lot and breaks fragile things often.
Nora can take things very personally and doesn't react well to criticism or insults. She's very over emotional and cries at the smallest thing, if she's in a particularly fragile mood. She worries about saying the wrong things to people, and hates being yelled at. Especially because she knows she can loose her temper, which can get her into all sorts if trouble.

Biography: Nora is of Irish origin, with Irish parents. Her mother always taught Nora to act like a Faerie, light on her feet, dainty and quiet. But Nora could never really impress her mother, ending up with them not having a very close relationship. After her father died, the relationship between Nora and her mother deteriorated further more, and now she is more distant than ever. Nora wishes she could be more like her mother wants her, but she's not sure if the academy will do that. It's really only a ploy for her mother to be rid of her.
