Sorry about that. Kinda feeling ill so I've been kinda keeping away from writing or typing too much to avoid missing something or doing something wrong/out of character due to dizziness. ^^;;
No worries, I myself have been feeling unweLl (I had 1 cup of milk by accident and that resulted in a feveR). I'll try get a post by tml, these few days aRe going to be very busy what with university applications and bills at the same time. If someone wants to post then, you can act as If Ryouta is still continuing his spell/song.
@watr He suits that description! Btw I'm not posting till sour posts, I have to react to his character's state If I am to post.
It was not a bummer at all! I liked the scene, it really let our characters showcase what they were good at. Even it was a rather easy battle, the monster a.I. and everyone who participated made it very enjoyable (to me the author)! The cast was varied, we had the sensible Sniper, the energetic Shade, the pre-menstrual Cleric, the lazy Knight. What more can you ask? :>.
And now Rian is being vengeful.

Ohoho, I think so far we have more characters getting on each other's nerves that characters who get along. Or we're about even, one or the other.

That is true! Those who get along are rare in this school it seems. Must be something in the water ...
Yes, he is. He's the next AcadeMMO Idol! Expect glitsy coats and sleek dance moves soon~ XD. Nah, it's just the way he casts that spell. It's a very old method of incantation (he's not auditioning, I swear!), he's actually not doing it right in a formal manner either. If you look at japanese shinto rituals, that's what his style of Magic is like. It's all very based on the concept of divinity and spirits, and human's interactions with that world. He also takes a looong time to cast it so ...prepare thy ears!
I feel like the entire cockatrice battle has been moving along super quick come to think of it. Though not too sure on an exact estimate.

Rian's pumped his magic training like Hazel's trained her strength, so that debuff of his is incredibly potent. If Ryouta hadn't distracted it, though, it probably would have been able to dodge the spell or something. Yay teamwork!

Mhmm! That's how we roll! XD. @sour: No worries 'bout it! As long as we keep in mind that each attack/spell is only an attempt, theN we're good! And so faR, you're doing very well.
The team was working out like a well oiled machine so far. There was Winnifred, the sniper who let loose high caliber slugs at it's critical areas and clearly took her toll on it. While Haruka took the chance to use a vicious technique and ran her weapon down it's back, causing grievious injuries. There was also a debilitation placed on the beast to slow it down, all while Ryouta kept it's attention on him. But then ...there was also someone else. A student! He certainly came as an unexpected suprise ....What's worse though was now Rian was attacking HIM instead of the monster. The monster, which had shown an unusual amount of intelligence, by making ear plugs out of the soil and grass beneath it. Things were getting chaotic ....... Ryouta Himonaga took a moment to assess the situation, he put one and two together and soon saw why this was happening:There was plenty of food, like the corn fields, somewhere there must have been a chicken coop which roused the monster's ire too! No wonder it was attacking this area! Not that this information was going to be useful right now, but maybe with it's intelligence, it could be reasoned with? The thought crossed his mind as more a favourable outcome, provided that they don't end it now. The creature was not being intentionally malicious afterall, unless there were casualities, otherwise it was just trying to survive. This thought made Ryouta choose to act differently, initially wanting to strike with his sword, he now instead held it ceremoniously by his side and took a long breath before shaking the talisman that clung to it. No longer was the Rooster's crow being played anymore, instead there was the sound of several small bells ringing... -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Iye yoo yui~
He suddenly began singing slowly in a grand, resonating bass. The hymn echoed through the fields. The very air itself seemed to stand still in it's wake, like it was paying respects to the song's arrival. The winds stopped blowing and the last wisps of moving air whispered in Ryouta's ear...
No bo me nooo~
There was a second chime, this time the faint sound of drums could be heard. The Binder stepped off the branch and gently landed on his feet, caught by a swirl of air that ushered his descent. He began slowly walking towards it ...
Ren mi riiiiiii~
All who heard it would be awashed with a sense of enveloping quietude, a calmness only felt on the most pleasant of days - in the very heat of this battle. That was the nature of the song they heard. The Prayer they heard.
Yo ju yo Gooooooo~
But the cockatrice it would feel the effects more strongly than any other. The Hymn was sung for it. This rushed ceremony was done in it's honor. Though dulled, it would seep through the pores of dirt and grass and reach foR it's soul. If the ceremony worked, all it's thoughts would be focused on the memory of the song and nothing else. Leaving it standing still in a tranquil daze. Success would be indicated by several faint lines of light and shadow that will begin weaving themselves around the creature in a divine symbol depicting the four cardinal directions (四神) where it stood. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (OOC: Ryouta used this whole turn to cast "Prayer foR Calmness", his speciality, using 10 MP in the process. The enchantment works by using his Magic Stat against the target's Resistance Stat. It might also help neutralize the hostilities of students towards each other as a side effect.)
Team Gardening! Hoy!! I'm kidding.
Ryouta can fight! Fighting is not as productive as practicing to him though, because ...you know ....Mages. They don't train like Martialists. He studies. He'd probably do it out of fun ...but Ryouta does not find beating the crud out of other students fun. Oh well. :/. What a sad life.
Abigael was totally planning on a kill steal. Buuuut he's an okay guy. He might help out. Maybe. (That means he probably will.)
Sour Grapes
You sound like Diggerton

At least Abigael hasn't punched anyone in the face yet, heheh.
