Yeah, I was thinking if I went with the apprentice sea witch or something, Ariel could perform that trick and be in the process of learning more. She could be on land for information - finding sailors would be easier that way rather than swimming around seeking.

Or the Twelve Huntsman story - the princess who hires 11 girls similar to her and kind of stalks her beloved. Kind of an elite team thing, though I'd have to do something to remove them because screw NPCing 11 others. Maybe not.
YoshiSkittlez said Rainmaker - Have you decided what character you want to give a try yet?

Pretty sure I'll go with Ariel, unless anyone with a prior claim has objections. If they do, I could likely do something with Tinkerbell, Ursula, or some more obscure fairytale. Reading them now, actually.
Major Ursa said I just read the first section of Rumplestiltskin's backstory in the Once Upon A Time wiki, and I'm feeling kind of inadequate right now.

For a TV show, he's quite the dynamic character imo. And a beeeast. =D Heh. Get it? Heh.
Name
Killian, though her birth name is much longer and more complex... but names have power.

Age:
~160

Race:
Sidhe/Hellhound

Appearance:
While appearing human, Killian is 5'9", lean and long of limb, and relatively harmless looking. A thick, molten contralto voice is probably the most unique thing about her. While in hellhound form, she easily surpasses 60 inches from shoulder to ground, and rather than fur has a sleek exterior with some rough, lethally sharp hackles. Not unlike a porcupine (heh), where the coat can seem smooth and soft, but with tension becomes both a defense and a weapon.

Personality:
Impulsive, ruthless, cunning. Although Killian can be brutal and animalistic, half her blood stems from creatures made to obey the rules of the Sidhe, so she can play the loyal hound as necessary. She had a terrible temper, but with some effort managed to make her explosions a more rare occurrence - but nonetheless vicious for all that. With a faint growl forever on the edge of her voice, she seems to be perpetually of ill disposition, but is actually quite mellow. She can and will work, but Killian favors the luxuries of languor. While in hound form she is always willing to give chase, her fey form is less inclined. Although intrigue is the wine of her ancestors, Killian would rather flay a person open and read their entrails than play mind games, but will if necessary. A glutton for fatty, flavor-rich foods, she seems to pay more heed to the next meal than the present conversation, but almost always managed to keep abreast of the current situations. As a default, she acts as something of an enforcer and, if heavily compelled, spy/informer.

Biography:
Killian is the descendant of the Cŵn Annwn and dark Sidhe, though the ratio of each that lies in her genetics is not known. She's considered a throwback, however, since her family stresses that the Cŵn Annwn was a one time affair with her several times great-grandmother. Even among the dark fey, the Cŵn Annwn are considered lesser - slaves, even. Topside, humans would refer to the Cŵn Annwn as Hell's Hounds and so for lack of a better known word, she calls her bestial form a hellhound. Although there was ready employment for hellhounds in the service of the royal families, Killian soon lost interest at playing attack dog. Her family was composed of ruthless creatures incapable of the softer emotions, so Killian had few familial bonds to keep her around. When she reached 70 years of age, she left the underground palace and sought a life topside. Unfortunately, Killian struggled with emotions and bestial tendencies and ended up quite the recluse and savage until the letter came along.

Aw, poop. She would have made a cool pirate queen, out to kill all the mermaids for slaying the man she loved.

I said if not taken! If taken, it'd be quite the war.
If I can have Ariel, then I'd like her to be fairly homicidal. If the princess who gets Eric is not claimed, she dies. =D
I was just thinking that it could go along with the dark version, but she ends up killing the prince rather than turning into sea foam. Perhaps becoming another twisted Sea Witch or vowing to slaughter all humans she finds on the open waters.
So am I right in thinking that Ariel is free, then? Though I don't want the simpering happy girl from before.

Well, the beast was never specified as a wolf. So that could be worked on. I mean if anything and it does end up being some sort of wolf-ish creature perhaps it's different in appearance, I know Red is like a large wolf, Belle could be a more beastly bi-pedal wolf, if we stick to the idea of a wolf type creature. Ruby can also control herself, I was thinking of having Belle just straight up have no control when it happens.I'm open to working on it but I like the idea of whatever the is/was that now Belle is.If that makes sense...

I always thought the beast was akin to a bear, though maybe that was just Disney's rendition.

Rainmaker- yes this was my problem too, figuring out who I wanted to be lol. Have you seen the tv show?

Oh yes. =D Besides Grimm, it's probably one of the only shows I've stayed interested in.
