Zuri followed the group through the jungle, treading carefully with each step as they walked past the remains of what looks like stone buildings. The sound of water grew louder as they got closer. With a little bit of magic, Nemo cut down the tree to create a path to safely get across. After all that has happened today, the fear of falling off this log was the least of her worries as she steps on and tries to keep her balance. The crackling noises in the bark wasn't reassuring though.
Zuri's long break from all that has happened throughout the past half an hour abruptly came to an end when the floor deck started to shake from the waves caused by a tentacle monster, which then ended up absolutely destroying it from the massive wave they created. Everything happened so fast, and since Zuri was already a bit worn out, she just tried her best to stay on her feet before the ship was blown into bits.

Hours has past, and Zuri was laying beside some rocks on a bed of sand. She opened her eyes and was greeeted by the glaring sun shining straight into her eyes. She tried raised her hand to shield her eyes, but the pain from crashing and getting washed ashore was a little too much at that moment. She tries to take a deep breath, but chokes on a bit of sand. Letting out a loud groan, she throws herself onto her legs and starts limping around in attempts to find her teammates.

She looked around, palm trees and some green grassland to her left, and the ocean on her right. In a zombie-like fashion, Zuri continues to walk in the direction where there is more debris from the shipwreck. It was hot, she was sweating, and all she wanted to do is go back home, but she knew she has to keep pushing forward.
Zuri still had her back on the same container she has been taking cover ever since the sniper took her first shot. She wasn't feeling well ever since the temporary transformation she did not long ago. Being half asleep with her butt on the floor and her back against the container, even though she didn't catch the first time Travis called for her through the manadial, she caught Travis' second attempt at getting her attention. She looks at the watch, gives it a tap and replies "I'm sorry for not replying earlier, what can I do to help?" she asks with a slightly worried tone because Travis sounded like he was abruptly cut off.
Zuri walked over to Roy's corpse and spat blood onto it. "See you in the next life, you messed up bastard.." she said as she gazed down at his dead body before turning her attention towards Travis and Nemo. However everyone was rudely interrupted by a sniper bullet. She quickly takes cover behind one of the metal containers closest to her, in the same direction that Nemo was taking cover and waits to see if Travis has a better idea than Zuri just being reckless.
Zuri watches as Zoey's attack lands on Roy, crippling him as he laid on the floor, defending himself with his dying breath. Zuri returns back to her normal form, a bit of black smoke expelled outwards as she did, but since she hasn't transformed in such a long time, it was very straining on her physical body, and before you know it, blood started running out of her mouth, leaking from the left side of her lips. She wipes it off with the back of her hand but Zuri started coughing up more.

The coughing roughly lasted a little under twenty seconds, but once she was done, both her hands were covered in splatters of red. "I.. I'm fine.." she mumbles under her breath as she walked a few steps closer to Travis to take a closer look. It was at that moment when she watched as Roy lunged towards Travis with a knife, but in her current state, helping was not an option.
Zuri kept a close eye on Roy's movement and actions, so when she reached for something, she was ready to block it. Zuri kneels down, visualizes the shield and casts a spell, placing a large shield right in front of her, covering her entire body. It was semi-transparent, so when the knife hit against her shield, she quickly releases the spell to refrain from using up too much mana. She looks up at the bombardment but quickly reverts her attention back to Roy, who was getting quite close.
It seems like her illusionary attack spooked both her teammate and her opponent. Zuri was on standby, waiting for Roy to make her next move. She tossed a grenade towards the general direction of all three of us. She raises her arms up and imagines the spell she wanted to cast which was similar to shooting small pebbles, but a shower of them. Mana running through her reserves and towards her hand, along with the amplification of her current state, pebble-shaped energy started shooting out from the circular rune that was hovering in front of her palm, aimed directly at the grenade in hopes that it would knock it away and maybe even possibly back towards the person who tossed it.
Zuri noticed that Travis was annoyed at her incompetence. She takes cover behind one of the containers when she was instructed to as Travis casted some sort of spell that had a large area of effect. As she took cover, she noticed a grenade that bounced towards her. Everything happened so quickly, but it felt like time was a bit slower when it all unfolded. A shuriken flew towards the grenade, most likely to re-direct it somewhere else. Zuri's eyes stared at the grenade as it flew towards her, but quickly snaps out of it and tries to do something, cast a spell of her own to survive the explosion.

Without a second thought, she temporarily turns into a living shadow that was completely pitch black, a visible aura of the corrupted black surrounded her. The shape of her current state was exactly the same, however you could not recognize her due to the lack of facial details, since it was only a silhouette of Zuri. It was only for a short period of time, but it felt like her magical powers were somewhat amplified. She could feel it within herself. This lead to a burst of confidence deep within her heart as she looks over at Roy, who was rushing straight towards Travis from behind after that attack that didn't work out.

"This won't hurt a bit.." Zuri says, looking at Travis, her voice deeper than usual in this form of hers. She charges up her right hand with energy and makes a claw grip, similar to how people do slam dunks, she swings her body from right to left, releasing four swipes of dark energy towards Travis and Roy. It looked really intimidating, but it was nothing but an illusion, similar to how shadows work. However, the sheer force of her arm when she took the swing was quite large, and since she wasn't that far away from Travis, it should be enough to blow away that mysterious dust that was thrown at him.
She had to think fast, or that slash of energy was going to hit her. Zuri decides to jump, using a bit of magic to propel herself higher than a usual jump to dodge the wave of magic. It was pretty close, the pressure started to get to her. "I-I'm scared.." she whimpers a bit as she took cover close by to Travis and Zoey. "Flank them? I'm not sure if I can do that.." Zuri replies, trying to think of something.
Zuri covered her ears before Nemo fired his revolver. It was indeed very loud, and before she knew it, everyone who was outside of the container when the doors swung open was dead. She picked up a pistol and found some suitable ammo from one of the crates that were left open. Zuri looks over at Travis, lets out a nervous laugh and just smiles, implying that she wasn't thrilled, but it's not like they would take no as an answer.
